Zanasi does custom things to some Ferraris that the factory doesn't. Search: GT Aperta I don't know how credible his post is though.
it's possible?! but IMO the Enzo body panels were never originally laid up for appearance, so even if paint removed and refinished ....i still think it's wrap [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xpp1xBmLQo[/ame]
I agree. too straight and I know you can clear real carbon to look that glossy but something doesnt seem right. It looks too perfect to me
If you have seen the up close pictures of Napolis' P 4/5 C, you will see carbon fibre weave that is pure art. So is this Enzo. I'd bet lunch it is real. Look at the horizontal surface above the mesh grille. And then look at the surface below. The lines are not parallel. If it were a wrap, they'd be perfectly parallel.
not necessarily ...the 'spoiler' (above the grill) is a seperate part from the bumper cover (below grill) so they each would be wrapped seperately, and so not have parallel lines
The Zanasi video (which is pretty cool) doesn't show them wrapping anything... they are fine polishing and then coating carbon pieces. This car (136088) has been discussed a couple of times in the Enzo register thread. A couple of the pics seem to show, along with people who have seen the car, that it is not a wrap.
That is my point. Because they are wrapped separately, the wrappers will make sure the lines are parallel. If you are turning a wrap around a corner in a single piece, you can't be sure you make the lines parallel. But with separate pieces it is simple to line-up things. CF that is formed does not have the luxury of that kind of flexibility.
if they paid that close attention ....it'd be good to see some more & better pics of this particular car, which must be out there, especially if it is a known sin# already
Looks like real CF. Its easy to make a mold of the stock body panels. Expensive process taking all the panels off an Enzo to do it, but it cane be done.
did they remove the paint of the original body panels, or did they make entirely new CF body panels for this car?
Was it a red car with black rear panels, or is it a black car now. The red piece in the camera suggests a red car.
The red piece seems to be a reflection of the testarossa parked next to the Enzo - see reflections in Enzos rear fender.
