As I mentioned before Kyle should be demoted too the Nationwide Series and if Kurt does not learn abit more decorum he should follow suit. While we are at it lets included HardPrick aswell.

And for every person that dislikes a particular athlete there is an equal number that LIKE that athlete.

Years ago, I had a major sponsor enlighten me to that: he said 'for every customer we get by sponsoring that (guy), we also tick off people that hate that (guy), and will never buy our product simply because we sponsor him. The key is to find a diamond that more people like than dislike'.

It's kinda funny, because as a kid, I grew up seeing a lot of different sponsors, Samsonite sponsored Joe Leonard, so when I got older and bought luggage, I bought Samsonite.
The odd thing is all the cigarette manufacturers on all the cars back then - and I have NEVER had the urge to smoke, to me that was burning money.
I will at least check out stuff from folks that sponsor cars, and if I like it and it's a fair deal, I will buy it. At least they have me looking at it.

LOL, Jeff Purvis drove for Phoenix Racing, I think they were caught doing not-so-legal stuff several times, but that was a long time ago.
I like how they don't name the television reporter's name he berated, that is the one guy you don't want to berate, he can save your life. HOWEVER, the reporter should have asked the one question right off the bat that I always led with back in the day: 'Do you have a minute/is now a good time?'. If you are a decent reporter you can figure out if 'now' is a good time or not before you even ask it. The mistake Dr. Punch made was he continued to hang around there, when he should have just left, he knew what he was stirring up. IMO.

It will be interesting to see if Dr. talks to Kurt, how he does it, what Kurt says.

Great news for Phoenix. For the same reason as hiring Terry Labonte, champ status will get them in races without quali.

I don't care for Kurt and I absolutely HATE Kyle.

I was at the track today and it made me smile to see Kurt driving the #51.

After the pissy fit he threw all last season its a wonder he has a ride at all.

Kyle should've been suspended indefinitely for his actions in the truck race and
all he did leading up to it.

Anyway, it was nice to see them ( NASCAR ) on the track again and it looks like they didn't do much to prevent them from riding around like love bugs again so we might get more of the same.

I'm going to grab a bite to eat and then pick out a few pics from today and post them.

post the pics in the NASCAR 2012 thread :)

I'd like to hear your impressions (if any) on seeing the cars with FI vs. the old carb cars (different exhaust sound, etc). sounds like it has no effect on the draft racing. :(

I'll post in the NASCAR 2012 thread.

I really didn't notice a change in the sound but I wasn't listening for it either. Nothing stood out to make me think they were different so it would take a tuned ear to hear any difference. When I'm down between turn 1 and 2 taking pictures of them on the bank its fun to hear them wind it up as they come off pit road and just about the time they get to turn 2 they grab another gear and you can really hear that.

In the afternoon session a couple teams got together and hooked up for several laps swapping as the pusher every so often. It gave me no hope they had made enough changes to discourage that type of racing. Perhaps NASCAR is using this as a test as well and will take further steps before the race.
