One of the problems designers of road Ferrari's have is that they have to make the cockpits wide enough to fit two large sized people. If you look at the spy shots of the new Enzo you can see this size vs P 4/5. This shot of P 4/5 CM and our 430 GT2 also shows this problem. These two cars are built on the same chassis but look totally different. Ferrari's designers have no choice and that will limit the design. Narrowing the cockpit is much more efficient aerodynamically and IMO looks better.

How much development is left in the concept of P4/5C?

I did hear it said some time back by a senior engineer involved on the Enzo replacement that the driver and passenger would have to know each other quite well .... I couldn't get any further explanation.

    A lot.

    2012 P 4/5 CM is 15 seconds a lap faster than 2011.

We think we can make 2013 15 seconds a lap faster than 2012.

If we can we would have a chance to finish 1 OA. With a one car team it would still be very hard but we would have a serious chance.

They are poorly done Enzo photoshops and won't resemble the new car at all.

They also have to meet multi-national crash & safety standards. Whatever we've seen from the A to B pillar is definitely the final design.

I saw something interesting. The first Enzo prototypes were enlonged 348/355, the second ones had the Enzo chassis but some of the F50 bodywork.

    http://www.italiaspeed.com/news_2002_16_04.jpg

So, the first "F70" prototypes are based on a 458, but the second ones have the real chassis, but not the entire bodywork of the real F70.

    Edit:

Video of the Enzo testing as a prototype.

There was a 348 Test mule for the engine, which had a 355 rear grille, but I am not sure the prototypes were 348-based.

Sorry, my english is very bad. The 348 and the 355 are allmost the same car with different components. The first mules were 348/355, but the prototypes were based on the Enzo with "f50 camo".

I am sorry, but that Road & Track rendering just lacks creativity. It looks like a distorted Enzo image with a F12 nose.
The F50 did not follow F40's design. And the Enzo was nothing like F50. So why do journos keep pushing an "Enzo evolution" renderings? I expect, no....I hope the new super car will look nothing like the Enzo and for the better.

Why Pininfarina not designed F70? People from Ferrari are disappointed of current style of cars?

    Look like a 458 and a Lotus Elise :)

I don't think either that it is even remotely close :D

I like it, looks very nice, and different from all other models (even if that wont be the real car)
