I like it although I haven't watched the last show yet on my DVR.

The Wyoming scenery makes me want to escape the crowded city life.

 

Last nights episode was just as good and yep the scenery does call you.

 

I've seen it, not bad!

 

I like it obviously since I have chosen a career in the 'field' but what I really like is how it reminds me of the sheriffs in old C&W movies. I also have a soft spot for a hot woman packing a pistol and badge, makes me flush and verklempt !!

On a side note I had seen this episode of the BBT a few times before I started following Longmire and then................

New season starts tonight!!

 

Just got turned on to it this weekend with the marathon. Watching new episode now! Wife was watching all day Saturday. I told her it was a waste of time and then found myself watching here and there. I finally got up and went to the movies (Star Trek is a must see in 3D by the way) and what's on the screen before coming attractions? Longmire! And now it's made it to fchat.

 

Longmire looks just like an older Robert Fuller from Wagon Train. Almost creepy in a cowboy kind of way.

Yes, this is good TV.

 

The thread title made me think of my favorite portrait of myself, taken by one
of my best friends and fellow-photographers (I was his mentor, he my assistant
back in the 80s)

Has absolutely NOTHING to do with this movie other than name.... but I'll remember
this day in March of 1987, in a fresh snow on Mt. Rainier in WA State, when Brian
and I were out playing "Ansel Adams games" all day.

So the photo below hangs on my office wall, simply titled "Longmire" - the long
trail on Mount Rainier about an hour from my home. Taken March 20th or so, 1987,
on 120mm Medium Format Kodak Plus-X roll film by Brian McKenna....


This to me is "Longmire" - if you've not hiked that trail in the snow, you don't know
what your'e missing....



In the photo, I'm the subject with my 4x5 view camera.... golly those were good days....

I know from experience how just a name can transport someone back to the good old days, when times were simpler, and how the memories can come flooding back. Sometimes I think my sense of duty towards my brothers and sisters is outdated but then I watch this show and I realize my path is true.

Sorry I strayed a tad.

Love the show though.

The most important aspect I get from this show, as I get older, is just listening more and talking less. Your all gonna make me admit it right, Vic in those jean's!

 

Seems like Branch is finally realizing what it means to be a "Law Man"!

 

Bump. "Longmire" is a great show. Watching season 2 on Netflix now.

 

Boo. I hope another network or perhaps, Netflix, picks this great series up.

Filmed entirely in New Mexico... around Albuquerque/Santa Fe.

Where I grew up and visit regularly.


Sure hope someone else picks it up.

Sadly it is/was one of their most popular shows.

 

Just recently discovered this show. Watched the whole thing pretty fast and now they canceled it. Just my luck LOL.

 

The WSJ said that the ratings were good. The problem was that the audience was a bunch of old people which the ad industry isn't interested in.
