Left Hand Milk Stout is awesome. Tap is best for the texture, but the bottle has the same flavor.

I've mentioned this before, but I was disappointed with this.

The banana flavor deserves a stout body. The coffee/chocolate flavors match up far better.

I tried a new to me amber style ale made by Breckenridge Brewery called Avalanche Ale. I thought it was pretty good...has anyone else tried it?

    Harpoon brewery again...
    Cask: Jalapeno Pilsner
I love Jalapenos, this is a very tasty Pilsner!

    And the "Outer market Saison"
    (Too much citrus)

Harpoon has some great new beers on tap though!

    This!
    ...is amazing.

The Alchemist Heady Topper Double IPA.
One of the best IPA's ive ever had. the Hop Aroma and flavor is right there, very fresh tasting(I think they might use Hop oil...and dry hop)

I bought all the 4-Packs at the store last week, and brought it down to Connecticut for family and friends. $14 a 4-pack though (eek) completely worth it.

Was in Ithaca NY. Went to Ithaca Brewery.
If you ever see their Flower Power IPA - buy it!
    Absolutely first rate IPA.
I wish I could get it locally.

Best beer going by a long way if you can find. My friend came down to NYC from VT and the cannery itself was sold out. Thankfully they're expanding production!

Also it says to enjoy straight from the can!!

I'm a big fan of Newcastle Brown Ale so I treated myself to something new as part of my Hurricane Isaac prep.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the Blood Red Ale; a bit too bitter for me...but far better than being w/o beer (or power) during the storm!

    Cheers!

Anyone have any suggestions for a good pumpkin ale ? I've tried a few this year but none where anything to write home about. I admit the search is fun though.

I love Punkin Chunkin! Last year Michigan Brewing Screaming Pumpkin has my pick of the year but they went out of business. I'll have to give the dogfish a shot. I had Terrapin Pumkin Fest which wasn't bad either.

I did some pumpkin beer tasting last week,if you can find it, Williamsburg Aleworks makes one of the best. I prefer it over both Schafly, Weyerbacher, Terrapin and Dogfish after having them back to back.

Also, Southern Tiers Pumking is pretty delicious, it basically tastes like pumpkin pie.
