Would be a good opportunity to make a sweet track car. Swap something different into it. I would put a 2JZ in it and turn it into a "highway" monster.

I believe I might have, in the dark recesses of my garage attic, a GTE grille and surround should some wish to embark upon a project of biblical proportions.

For about $10,000 in total cost here's what I found to complete the shell:

Hood/Bonnet, Doors, Deck lid/Boot lid, Windscreen/Windshield, Windscreen chrome, Grill, Grill surround, Headlight chrome, Fog lights, turnsignal lenses, rear turnsignal lenses, Side Marker lenses, Cowl trim, door handles, All Glass and trim, Front and Rear Bumpers.

So for about $13 to $15,000 USD you've got yourself a GTE shell, ready for?????? And then you need a very large bucket of money, to finish it.

Maybe a "vintage race/track car" with a small block Chevy would be fun.

    ~Ciao and best!

Well, it's a Series III car, but with that one picture, it's really hard to tell a lot. There doesn't appear to be a chassis under it, which is in keeping with the $3k asking price. Looks like there's a lot of serious rust in the door post area, which means the rockers and floor pan are likely goners. Not sure what "cut about a foot off it" means exactly. It's not off the front and the middle isn't sectioned. So that leaves the rear. Pity.

Seller said only significant rust was in the rockers.

He was planning on slicing the car into pieces for a wall art project but this never happened.

Still, there are sawsall cuts through the A pillars, the sills and the metal beneath the trunk.

Curious... what would have been a honest value if it would have had a frame w/serial. $10-12k??

Don't think Shaughnessy would have much interest if the frame is gone.

Curious if it was or wasn't present.

Does any one know what was being asked for this car?
