Add $10K above asking price, this car will need a major immediately with a possible clutch.
No tools, manuals, spare wheel, zero history is a little risky but still a nice looking T. I would buy at $20K if I had the room for it.

With what Russ will do to it, none of that makes any difference.

Interestingly enough, a quick google of the VIN ZFFKD32B000080097
shows that this was the car forsale in MD a few months back for $28k.

see this thread, so Russ already knows about this car. But Windy City sure poured on the Amor All.

Well at $20K I would also be interested.
Question that has me wondering is what would have been involved in the "federalization" process? I am concerned that it would be butchered with a handfull of non-standard, unknown components that would fail and leave you holding the bag.

This dealership is not too far from me, they are known for their aggressive move it out the door pricing. I think they have VIP seating at the local Auction yard.

If anyone is interested, i can take a drive over there and check it out for you

Front glove box, if that's what you are mentioning was standard on the Euro models, but not NA

LoL, good news is you do have a glovebox on your 89. The 90s and up loses the glovebox space for knee protection for US spec. see last pic.

Sounds like another switch that doesn't work. I'll see if things have changed when it gets back, hopefully it works this time.

Yes.. James Garner aka Jim Rockford has so many ties and similarities to me, it only made sense to be my avatar alter ego.. We met in the 80's ...

No sorry. The USA '89 had an esthetic panel and nothing more.

Yes there is a button on an '89, but its a dummy.

    It wont!

Michael you are correct. Seems for the US 89 t the button is dummy or non functional.
For the euro edition, they actually work as the one for sale shows.

Hi guys, I’ve never seen that top opening dash here in the UK or even some euro ones i have seen.
Take a look at this link for a 3.4T UK spec, its the standard dash. On this website you will also see a left hand drive model, again with no opening like that one. Very odd?
From what i see, the Modials are far cheaper in the US than over this side of the pond:)

I've seen a picture of this glove box before in tan (can't recall where) but not in the open position.

Item #42 in the t workshop manual shows the "Glove box lid".
