She is hot, he needs a haircut but good for him. Lets place bets on how long it will last as I think she is out of his league.

You must be kidding. Anyone want to chime in ?
I guess he is just at the top of his game...
Question: On Wednesday, was Alonso at the Factory, testing... or playing grab ass somewhere? Wonderful drama from a kid. If the relationship is so great it could have waited till after the season.

I respectfully disagree. I think it;s a personal thing. Plus, with no testing...whats wrong with getting married? :)

    Lol.

No testing apart from the appointed test days so that theory is out. Alonso doesn't come to the factory every day and look at how they put a sticker on his car either. Actually, most drivers, including your precious Alonso, often take a couple of days break if there is a 2 week space between race weekends. And then it's back to work, getting fit.

As said elsewhere in the thread (something you don't have a comeback to), Schumacher also got married mid season 1995 (back when they DID have testing whenever they wanted). He won the championship.

Do you really think that if a driver misses one day out of 365 he will suddenly try and enter the car head first and operate the car with his ass?

F1 drivers do get sick, so sometimes miss a day of training...

F1 stars, athletes and rock stars usually punch about 5X above their weight in this department. One of the perks.

Well he's not exactly poor and will be less poor in the future. I'm sure that has some appeal.

The Kid looks fine, good for him, and may they have a good life together.

On a separate note the guy who made the Junior Prom Pic comment, I still can't stop laughing :)

And what exactly is an old fart going to tell him that he doesn't already know? I get tired of guys like Stewart, Lauda, etc. acting like their word is the word of God or something. Also, that article is worded terribly, it wasn't a snub at all. He politely turned down the offer, typical media sensationalism.

Romain is fast as hell, he needs to make fewer mistakes but he knows this. I like his decision to remain focused. I still get the vibe that this whole thread was created to slag off the guy.

Having a great season (certainly exceeded everyones expectations), beautiful new wife, congrats to him.

Agreed. Stewart, a living legend, DID a lot for the sport in his day that everyone has benefited from. DID=past tense. He has become irritating to me.

Not sure where I went off track. I’m still a little takin back that anyone believes the marriage in mid season wasn’t a distraction to some degree.
And to be clear, no one is trashing him for anything . Just pointing out the obvious "kid like" mentality.

as for a coach...any good to great driver could take advantages from a good coach, weather that be Sir JS is open for debate.

Only time will tell, but he is far from the best in the field so why not take some words of wisdom from a senior driver? Would it make him a worse driver?

I guess rubbing his wifes ars is more important then honning his craft at this time.

I agree. Some things, you just gotta learn it by yourself.
