    I dont think that works for exotics whenever you plug in ferrari or lambo Vins nothing comes up. I dont know I could be wrong...

    Just registered my 308 in Collin County today. They calculated the tax based on whatever number I wrote down in the sales price blank. I suppose I could have put any number down??

    No, the whole point of this discussion is that "any number" will not do, they know the range of valuations, even on 'exotic" cars.

    I dont know if it depends on what county your in but I paid a very low sales tax on my 360. Basically told them it was purchased at a ridiculous low amount and it work. Cant explain how but just did.

    So, the car is in a transporter and on its way. I guess I'll find out the answer to the tax question soon enough...

    One additional question though... The car is coming from Arizona, which required the seller to remove the plates. How do I get the car to the inspection station? (I assume the car itself doesn't really need to go to the tax office...) can I just drive it with no plates and explain that I'm on my way to get inspected.

    I've been told there's yet another form which allows me to drive for a week or so to get the car inspected/registered, but so far I can't find it.
