The original Brands Hatch circuit was epic and it is a shame it was not brought back but it was diluted in its form. My other track of choice would be the original Österreichring. I find it very disheartening that such great tracks have been diluted in the name of safety when the cars actually get faster. I still remember when "Men where men"!

Brands does indeed remain a truly fabulous circuit. But one correction; It's one of the few that has *not* been "diluted" - Even the long circuit is still used on occasion. It would need serious money to bring it to current F1 standards, but it still hosts meetings almost every weekend during the season. The short circuit affords spectators more or less uninterrupted views of the whole thing as it sits in a natural bowl.

Certainly one of the best and most "natural" circuits ever IMO! [I can't remember the year, but the Red Arrows (RAF display team) did a show ahead of the GP - People in the upper grandstands swear they were looking *down* on em as they flew into the bowl - It was *awesome*..... Another time a Harrier jump jet did the same and folk were pissed as it's downdraft kind of destroyed everyone's camps! :)]

    Cheers,
    Ian
