i am trying to decide what color my 458 spider should be. as per my dealer, i expect to order the car around one year from now, summer 2013 i have the interior color nailed down: black dash with full carbon and red seats. but planning the exterior color is causing me stress. the 3 exterior colors i am considering are black (nero), white (bianco avus) or bianco fuji. since advice from f-chatters is free, i thought i would query my peers. if i cannot decide on an exterior color, i will have to seek professional counseling! posting photos of vehicles with any of these color combinations would be greatly appreciated.

Someone here has a black car witha metallic red bi color roof. It's amazing. You might try something f in Bi color if you can't decide on one.
White is my first choice. Bright silver is my second. Both colors are relatively easy to keep clean. And look stunning with red. I would go with red brake calipers. But silver or yellow would look great with white and silver. Enjoy. Stop stressing.
Wait until you get near the order date. If you pick a color now you will agonize over whether or not you made the right choice for a year. Keep looking at the pictures and showroom cars and by next spring you can be pretty sure you will make the right call.All of us have gone through this and even after we pull the trigger we still wonder. I have a red one due in about two weeks and I sometimes think I should have gone with the fly yellow.I will be fine with my choice though.
You know what... I thought about my color choices for months on the cars I ordered. It's rather fun. Then, in the end, I could figure it out anyway!
Even when you think you have decided, you wont have. Great fun up until you car goes into build and then you have nothing but second thoughts as you see photos of others new cars on this website and know you have not made the right decision!
How about Carbon Black with a bright blue interior? Same blue as used for the interior of the Maserati-Enzo. Otherwise you can't go wrong with Nero over red. CH

WHITE (i.e. bianco avus) is THE colour for the 458 IMO! Plus its ~ 15k cheaper than the triple layer fuji which looks also stunning. Nero hides the complex curves of the car and while you can never go wrong with it, it certainly wouldnt be my first choice for the 458, looks best with a beige or couio interior anyway.
Rosso Corsa which is by far the most popular ferrari color. I would avoid black (impossible to keep clean, even minor blemishes get exaggerated), white (too boring, get that in a sedan) and bianco fuji (whatever that one is). Yellow would be a good alternative to red, but if wanting to be more conservative get silver.
No to black for all the reasons mentioned in other posts. Apparently the designer penned the 458 to look best in lighter colours so that the details and lines were best exposed. I went for Grigio T and when I collect it in September I wil probably have changed my mind.

Why spend money on white when original (no cost) works perfectly? I suspect most here agree that black "hides" lines, you can judge for yourself. As you can see from the the thread you were sent to, I think white with black top is what this car was made for, but that's what makes a horse race (unintended pun). Best
I have a soft spot for black spiders, I think they look amazing. It suits the character of the car. black and white are my favourite colours in a spider. although for black I think it goes better with black rims yellow calipers -black racing seats with yellow line. yellow belts and maybe ..maybe.. yellow stitching in white I think Red is better... so in your case judging from your interior I would go with white and red calipers But remember that this is a fine car. it looks great in all colours!!
have a fuji bianco with cuoio diamond pattern with white stitching and ciccolato dash in september production queue - a little different than white/red or white/black.
wow. i feel much better already. the 458 spider will be my third f-car. if i get it in black, that will make 3 in a row!!
I can never do black as keeping it spotless makes me nuts I thought I would def do white but once I saw that Red again.... :SIGH:
