my engine really doesn't need it but i would like to just keep it maintained and looking good.

i tried doing a search and couldn't find anything.

im looking for products that i can use on the engine that will not harm any of the wiring or componets.

what should i use / not use ?

    thanks guys.

i will post pics after it's complete.

For light duty maintenance I would suggest using Optimum No Rinse (ONR), if there is any stubborn dirt or oil residue you can use P21S Total Auto Wash (TAW) and wipe off with some light agitation. P21S TAW is a mild cleaner and is very safe to use, but I would still suggest wiping the area with a cloth dampened with water or ONR after using TAW.

Beyond that, get a good variety of soft brushes and quality microfiber. Apply with plenty of time, patience, and care. :)

Steam cleaning is a safe option.

Do you have any pics (or short video) during wash and any particular areas to avoid getting wet or can I just spray the whole engine?

    Thanks

I wipe mine down each time I wash the car with the wet micro fiber cloth I used to dry the car. Seems to keep it very clean.
