1993 XJS 4.0 Car starts with a rough idle, and smooths out within 60 secs. I have noticed that it is starting to use coolant. Any thoughts?
Unfortunately it might be your head gasket. While its idling rough rev it bit, look in the mirror and look for white smoke.
Also while its idling rough listen to the exhaust for a put put put noise which clears to a smooth sound once it has cleared the coolant.
