Docking station, cars, etc, all those that jumped on the bandwagon got ****ed. Simple as that.

The vast majority will get the adapter because they are not going to buy a new car...

So they won't be able to take advantage of the new "functionality" (whatever it is).

The 430 with the built in iPhone? ****ed.

The new fancy stereo music docking station? ****ed.

I for one believe this change will cause many NOT to upgrade.

Apple and 1,000 of other companies will sale an attachment for a couple of bucks. But my guess is that Apple will include one with every phone sold

Won't work in my BMW and two other docking stations I have where the phone "slides in".

They'll think of something. I am all about change when it comes to consumer electronics. If it saves space and adds more capabilities why not. The pin unit apple has used has been around for a lonnnnggg damn time its time for an update. I don't own an I product and see the need for the change

This iteration is more about size, i.e. it's a bigger screen but thinner case.

Apple fans don't like change, case in point is the noise about the connector re-design. :D

Until I see an official press release from Apple, I'm not believing anything.

I just want the iPh5 to come out quick so I can get rid of my beat up 4 (quirky & glitchy & a PIA). Apple Store said $200 to get another 4 & since I only paid $50 for the one I have, it doesn't make sense not to wait

I'd bet money there will be an adapter.

    I doubt this.

It's too much of a physical issue if it's a docking port.

Even with an adaptor it wouldn't fit flush.

I looked at this with my Denon iPod dock I have on my home theater system.

I think I'll have to just leave my old 80gb iPod connected with no new iPhone ability.
