When my daughter was 8, she absolutely hated riding in the back of my 911 - too uncomfortable. When she was 10, she was indifferent about riding in the back of the E46 M3. Now that she's 11, she LOVES riding in the back of the Abarth. Go figure.
i love my gtr. much more fun than pcar, m, amg, mazzer, etc. if considering gtr - im 5' 9 and fit in back of gtr with passenger side seat ok for someone same size. no problem with kids. as for cost, new ones are over $100k now and maintenence is fairly high. probably similar to new ferrari running costs. be very careful with off warranty used cars that have been abused. transmissions can be $35k!
Have a 12 GTR and love it. Great drive and kiddos enjoy it...they call it the "super fast" car. Remember when I came home with it, the conversation with my 7 year old daughter was: Me: do you like the new car? Daughter: hmmm, is it faster than the other one? (Porsche) Me: yes, much faster. Daughter: then I love it!
Dave downer here; Every family needs a SUV or large Van. Especially with 3 kids and a wife. Wait till the sports thing kicks in. Perhaps a boat. I would cover that base first especially if you have other F cars. Plus the kids will love the in car entertainment systems.
A Bentley GT at Cars and Coffee? Better placed at a Polo Club Event, etc? The GTR, Maserati, or any sports cars for that matter may be cooler but each to his/her own.
612 pricing is getting very appealing. Took a look and saw u have 2 amazing F's in your garage. V8 & V12. Assuming finances allow, i think swapping the 599 for the FF would b a nice upgrade. Far superior car, with all the +'s like DDability, capacity. With 458 spider, italia is becoming more n more readily available as well. Can have a DD tru Family Fcar n the greatest sports coupe ever (IMO, till this point)
Na no downer here you're being pragmatic and it totally makes sense! I have a Toyota Tundra crew cab with a 6 inch pro comp lift for the bad weather, boat towing, and anything the kids can throw at it! I have three car seats stacked in the rear seat and there's plenty of room Just doesn't quite fit in at C&C (literally and figuratively) We just picket up the QX56 for the wife so she can stack the kids in when I'm not around with the Tundra.
