What is the best way to lower a F430 to improve handling and the stance for just a weekend cruiser ?

Will lowering with the stock coilovers be sufficient ?

What are some of your experiences ?

Any feedback given would be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks in advance

I'm assuming you're going to go ahead and do this, but just be aware that lowering this car is definitely going to make the ground higher.

As in it will make the ground higher to the bottom of the car ?

I'm not looking to slam the car but I would like it to be esthetically more pleasing and handle a bit better.

While I agree it will certainly look a bit better, for what you described as a "weekend cruiser", I'm not sure the effect on handling will be all that impactful. However, the effect on ground clearance may very well be so. This is a car with a lot of front overhang.

I was thinking about lowering it to the Euro Spec , which is in between the US OEM height and the CS height .

    Is your car lowered ?

Mine isn't lowered. And even at US stock height, and with great care on steep driveways and such, it inevitably takes occasional hits to the bottom of the bumper.

Not that that's a real problem (for me anyway)...

Mine handled as well or better than stock height but that's just my seat of the pants opinion. It looks the way it should have looked from the factory. I was very impressed with the mere 22mm drop. Any more would be impractical.

Beware. You will scrape the front bumper much more than you would like.

My independent mechanic told me Euro is 22mm or approximately 3/4 " lower than US ride height.

Wow. Great photo of your car. It looks fantastic. Generally I'm not a big fan of yellow cars or black wheels but this is outstanding. Good job.

    Are those 20" Novitech wheels?

I installed Global motorsports F430 springs. I had previously adjusted the stock springs and the ride and handling was just not good. With the GMG F430 springs it lowered the car and improved the handling dramatically. Worth the money.

LOL... I think lowered cars look fantastic, but I have no idea how you live with them on a daily basis.

My F430 was stock ride height and my 16M is stock ride height and I'm constantly having to be super careful to not scrape. There are multiple places on the roads around my house where I need to slow down or the car will slap the pavement.

I had skid-plates on the F430, but then subscribed to the philosophy that the skid-plates only made me hit the ground more often. The 16M doesn't have skid plates.

Got to say it does look better but I spent a couple of years in my GT3 which was lowered and it was just too hard to live with. I had to think about anywhere I was going. I am going to keep my F430 standard.
