Flame away but that color just doesnt do it for me. The more i see pics of that car, the more I think the metallic colors are the only way to go. I would really want to see a few in person
Here are some more pics from Pebble including some details and interior. I was using a wide angle lens so there might be some distortion in a few of the shots but for the most part they are as is. I hope you enjoy. And for the record, I did not like the car prior to seeing it in person. Standing next to it and getting inside (plus the engine sound they played!) changed my opinion. Still wish there were three pedals though! Jimmy// Actually Rosso Berlinetta is a metallic. Like all metallics, it lights up in the sun, which there was very little of that day. Some of the photos show it as more orangey than it is. It reads as a real red, neither purplish nor orangey. It is also not candy apple which has become the trendy "color du jour." Yes, you really do have to see them in person.
Note the inconsistent panel gap when the hatch is closed ... like an Alfa Romeo 116 Alfetta of the 70's ... sorry not impressed, the rear is a styling miss. 599 GTB definitely superior from the rear. They should have taken the hatch right down to the bumper like every other hatch back. Pete
Was told at the launch party that the lowest most part of the "tail" creates vortex(vortices) that in turn creates additional downforce. The two vortices spin in opposite direction. Ed
I wonder if my surfboard fits in the trunk. It's 5'11 - so it might fit in the middle?! For all my Munich friends:We'll all meet at Saggio next few weeks...
I have not been in love with a Ferrari since the 512TR nearly 20 years ago. Sure i have been in awe of several cars past and present, from the Dino to the 512BB to the 308/328 to the F430 to the 599, etc. But there is something very special here with this one that has hooked me like a magnet. I cannot seem to take my eyes off of it. I think i am in love with this new F12 Berlinetta.
