I know it has been an up in the air event/race all year. With Andretti Sports Marketing at the helm I wonder how it will work out Anyone heading down for the race? I will be down late Friday through Sunday. David
Hey David I will be there. Saturday. Jennifer and I and Sunday With a few other c and c guys. Staying all weekend. See you there. Jon in Delaware
I will be attending all 3 days. For what it is worth. I took the light rail in from South of Baltimore. The downtown area is a mess because of the many street closures. I was home and relaxing before my buddies got out of their parking garage near the track. Of course, you can also take the light rail in from North of Baltimore as well.
Yeah, I parked at the airport and took the light rail too, very hassle free. If I can make it again this year I will be doing the same thing.
We are staying at Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel Maybe we can all meet-up for dinner or a drink somewhere... David
The race team and driver are coming back to Delaware again this year - check them out http://www.facebook.com/WinnerPorsche
We're organizing a few events...details to follow soon... Sat AM- Katie's Cars and Coffee, then drive to Bmore for the corral setup in the paddock. Spend the day at the track and the Budweiser tent taking in the ALMS and IndyCar action. Sat PM- Group dinner event TBA. Sun AM- Meet at the Donut (Burtonsville, MD C&C), then a drive afterwards with lunch in the Baltimore area around noon. We'll fill in the blanks and provide full info in the next day or so. LS
Looking for details. Maybe as many as eight of us ( spouses and significant others included) from the North of the Mason Dixon line crew coming. Thanks Jon in Delaware
We will be there FRI-SAT in the BMW Corral with either a BMW or Ferrari (not sure yet) Arriving around 11am-ish, departing around 3pm-ish Hope to see the Chimps
I'm heading down just far Saturday. Unfort I work Fri and Sunday. Have grandstand tickets for the outside of turn 10 and some paddock passes. Spending the night then heading back to York early Sunday. Hope to see some folks down there.
Saturday night dinner is leaning towards Cinghiale in Harbor East. How many of you will bring your exotic and require parking curbside in front of the resto? We are trying to get the reservation finalized now. Please PM or reply to this thread. I need to know ASAP... Thanks, LS
The Flying Lizards will visit Porsche of Delaware again on Wednesday August 29th ~ 6p - 8p. They will sign autographs, conduct a question and answer session and raffle off tickets to the Grand Prix of Baltimore! Please RSVP to 302.292.8200
Please add David and myself in for dinner at Harbor East. Is that the marina on the Rusty Skupper side behind it ?? Does the water taxi go there ?? Let me know if its ok Thanks Glenn
Ok, please PM full names so I can update my roster. To clarify, that's 2 persons for dinner but *no* exotic/classic parking required correct? Cinghiale is in Harbor East which is across the water from the R Scupper. I'm not from Bmore, but I believe the water taxi will take you to within a 5-10 min walk of the resto. Look fwd to seeing you. Thanks, LS
We will confirm today...but likely around 8pm after track traffic dies down. I have 20 for dinner and 7 reserved for exotic/classic parking outside. How many of you would be interested in a package for corral parking with BMW CCA and access to their hospitality tent with food, drinks, etc? One day will be approx $70 and two day will be approx $140. Please let me know if any of you are interested in this special parking/hospitality option ASAP. I am trying to work out a good option for everyone since there hasn't been a deal for any of the exotic car owners to have their own corral this year. You will still need to purchase some sort of race ticket beyond the above mentioned packages. Thanks, LS
