BTW, and I can take pictures for everyone but I have protectors underneath the front fenders for scraping. I purchased it from a vendor and then had some of it fabricated to avoid the scraping issue .

David, would love to see pics of the protectors. Also can you please post the exact parts you used for springs and spacers here so that others (myself included) might do the same. Many thanks.

Congrats...it looks as it should; very nice. Maybe get a kit to raise the front...though I would probably remember to hit the switch right after the impact.

Damn that looks good!. I thought you could not lower a Cali with magnaride, obviously that was not true. Seriously though, makes a world of difference, the Cali sits too high stock, major fendar gap.

How is ground clearance? Do you find yourself scraping or is it fine?

    Thanks

Car looks great. May I ask you if the alignment was out of whack? With no dealer or shop anywhere local, will probably have to pass on the lowering, but this car NEEDS it badly :D. Having bypassed the exhaust valves yesterday, I can tell you ALL bellypans under the car have to come off for that job, so your price was excellent. Have a good one folks.

never scraped bottom. its really not much different than other stock sports cars now. you just have to be mindful but it really isnt prohibitive at all.

Well done! You might want to consider a skid plate for under the front bumper.

many thanks. Did it 'need' spacers, or was a thing you did for looks - if so, how wide was the spacer/s?

    Thanks

I find this an interesting and a much improved stance for the car.
Did you have the static susp. settings re-set to this height ? (camber/ toe )
I recently wanted mine changed, but the dealership refused to re-set static design settings at anything other than normal design height. Curious- In as much as the spring/shock units are adjustable by means of the threaded lower spring seat, why the necessity to install springs having a reduced free length -- not enough adjustment to get to 1 to 1-1/4 inch body drop ?

Looks fantastic! I lowered my Cal30 a full 1 3/8" initially on factory springs, and put a skid plate on the front spoiler but found the clearance too tight for speed bumps, sharper inclines and even hard driving around corners with any kind of undulation. I had to have the dealer re-adjust the factory springs to about 7/8" lower than factory. The change to -7/8" made all the difference in drivability, and yet it still gives the car a much more aggressive stance than stock.

Next on the list is spacers. The dealer suggested that I do no more than 10mm - 15mm, or risk hitting the front fender on a hard corner/bump, and do the same size front and back to keep the geometry appropriate. What are the specs, and brand of the spacers you used?

FYI...I did 11mm on front and 15mm on back (no drop)...to my eye the back needed more and the front not quite so much...no noticeable negative handling/balance issues, even when I did the same to a 458 and tracked it.

Interesting - I agree the rear needs more than the front. Who is the manufacturer of the spacers? I'm not sure why the dealer suggested same front and rear, other than just out of caution? I've heard of others doing slightly wider rear than front, without issue. Anyone else have a thought on this? Thanks!
