Most emotional: my 2007 F430 spyder in Argento over Nero with offset grey stitching and plenty of carbon. This is my first ferrari (3rd owner) and it is a privilege to own it.

Most beautiful: my Porsche 550 Spyder RS historical recreation by Automotive Legends and Fiber Steel. Built to my spcifications. Historically acurate (not a botch job). It doesn't get much drive time but this design is one of the greats.

Best car: My 2004 E39 BMW 540 sport in silver over grey. I truly miss this car and probably should have bought it off lease. Very fast and very good at speed. Best handling sedan I've ever owned. The last year of the E39 with the factory sport package still looks fresh and modern today and was reliable as the day was long. A close 2nd was my 2007 BMW750li.

Worst car: My first car: '87 grey Caddy sedan de ville. Lot's of good memories in that car but an example of the worst that American engineering could offer back in the late 80s. Big displacement, slow as hell, horrible handling, no brakes (no abs! and drums only), no airbag, and a couch for seats front and rear.

    Most Beautiful - easy 1972 Dino 246GT
    Most Emotional - ditto
Best (most reliable) - late 90's (ish) BMW 535
Worst (least reliable) - TIE!!! 1971 MGB and 2004 BMW M3 with SMG and run flats.

That BMW was the most promising when I bought it, and the biggest dog while I owned it. The run flats, well, they didn't. And more than once the tire pressure sensors failed, so I didn't know they WERE flat. BMW replaced 7 of them in 2 years. (Thank God the sales guy sold me the tire/wheel Warranty.) The SMG III? What a POS. Blew a pump at 12,000 miles, the bucking around in first gear was intolerable. The auto mode sucked, just a terrible car.

The MGB, in some ways the best and worst car I ever had. Got it when I was a senior in High School (1973 if you must ask) and it was great having a sporty convertible, except the carbs never stayed in tune, and it leaked oil like the Exxon Valdez, I froze my ass off in the winter, and it's top speed, downhill, was about 95 mph. But man, was it a fun top down experience for a 17 year old kid.

the most beautiful car i ever owned: Hard to beat Gertrude, 308 GTB remains one of the most iconic as well as beautiful designs ever.

the most emotional: 1986 Toyota MR2, it was less than reliable (unusual for the marque) but it was one I always wanted, the emotional attachment is still there.

the most reliable car: 1983 VW GTI, I got it for nothing as some rich kid at Uni could not keep it running, once the fuel relay was replaced the car ran for 140k kms before I sold it with nothing more than rubber, filters and oil replaced. It is still running to this day to the guy I sold it to 16 years ago. I'd love to find a restored one some day.

the worst car: Peugeot 505, old man green. My family is french and while my grandfather could fly the pants off of anything with wings, he was useless when it came to cars as he had Peugeot after Peugeot in a country with nearly no parts or service for them. The old man green coloured 505 was a hand me down that proceeded to serve me about 1 in 4 days on a good week. Dropped it's tranny on the Decarie Expressway in Montreal at rush hour, that was the end of that...

Most beautiful, most emotional, best, worst? I'd say my Ferrari 328 fits all four of those descriptions!

My most reliable car was probably my 2000 Honda Civic Si; in 12 years the only thing out of the ordinary that went bad was the clutch master cylinder, and even that was only a pinhole leak that was no big deal. I hope that my current 2012 Civic EX, which I like very much contrary to Consumer Reports' seeming vendetta against it, is that reliable.

My most economical car wa probably my 1986 Honda Accord LXi hatchback, which I kept for 13 years and 270,000 miles. It got better gas mileage than either of my Civics, and made two long cross-country trips.

Most beautiful - without a doubt, my '80 308 GTBi. Love it in black.
Most emotional - a '79 Saab 900EMS - I made it into a rally car. Thought I was Erik Carlsson.
Most reliable (Maybe not counting my Acura MDX, which is also a surprisingly good performer) - my '88 Mercedes 560SL. I put maybe $500 per year in it and it is still going strong after >200K miles of hard driving. Hard top in winter, topless in summer.

Oh yeah, and worst - Opel Kadette Rallye - also tried to rally with it but crazy underpowered and I needed to carry a spare battery just to start it away from home.

Most beautiful : Ferrari F430 - pampered with Zymol wax and Leatherique conditioner regularly.
Most emotional : Toyota Supra - This was the car to have at the time.
Most reliable : Porsche 911 Turbo - Not a hiccup after 5 years of ownership.
Least reliable : Mazda MX6 V6 - 1st car, purchased new and put about 60k miles on it. Had a bad wheel bearing, transmission failure, engine head gasket blew twice, water pump failed, coolant leaked, battery replaced twice, and exhaust pipe cracked, dropped and scraping on the road.

    I'll play:

Most beautiful: my 1958 Porsche Speedster. Sigh.

Most emotional: My '64 Porsche 356C - My best friend's dad bought it new, ran it until it blew up, sat for a decade rotting under a tarp in their backyard. I pestered him until he gave it to me, and I spent 6 years rebuilding it with my own two hands.

Most reliable: 1995 Isuzu Trooper. Ran that thing all over the country doing yeoman's work for a decade, 200K miles - never once left me stranded, used nothing but tires and oil changes.

Most unreliable: 1992 Range Rover. Was such a lemon that it cracked a manifold on the WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER. When it ran, it was nice. But that was only on days that didn't end in -y. Can't begin to count the ridiculous and mundane stuff that broke down on that car.
