The 74 Alfa spider was my first taste of Italian machinery. I will always have a soft spot for it. Ok, the spica can be a bit of a pain and the auto choke is a joke but the car itself is really fun to drive with a lovely exhaust note that is completely unique to Alfa's.

My last Alfa was a 91 spider. I liked that car very much also (had it 150K miles) but the 74 was just a bit more pure.

Mang, did you sell your Seafoam Alfa spider, didn't see in the cars for sale here? Beautiful example. My other than Ferrari purchase will probably be a GTV, one for sale locally here(needs TLC) but may go the spider route instead if the right situation presents itself.

Did not sell, and as is usually the case, I'm kinda relieved it didn't sell. It is an extremely nice example. I might relist it here.

another of my Italian temptress'. This is first year kamm tail 1750 spider. Just been refurbished all winter mechanically by maestro Anthony Rimicci at Santos in SoCal. I'm leaving it with it's character patina so I can drive it all around Lake Tahoe in the nice weather and not worry about bumps and bruises. Sure I would love to remove those body side moldings, the US side marker lights are gonna go too and Carello headlight covers are goin on and fresh paint at some point, but for now - here she is, looking good anyway! I get so much sportscar satisfaction out of these Alfa series 2 spiders! Help me choose a wheel set, want feedback from these photos.

1st photo - mystery wheel currently on the car, never seen em before and are actually growing on me as the car just looks cool with them on.
    2nd photo - Cromodora Daytonas - silver.....or gold?
    3rd photo - Campagnolo Americas
    4th photo - Momo Vegas
    5th photo - Ruspas

That yellow/green was my first Alfa spider --the only yellow car I've ever owned.

I counter with my aerodynamica, face lift 83 and built on the 16th may 1983 after the launch of the model in March at the Geneva Store, new delivered June 16th in Geneva CH, with great carburetor sound and original Ronal wheels.

Had a '76 over 30 years ago. Missed it since the day I sold it after 3 years of fun, but couldn't resist the De Tomaso I traded it in on. I can see a Duetto in the future.
