Great looking models...love the colors you chose. Did you finish the 250GTL yet?

I am working on my 275GTS now. I want to make one of the speciale 6 carb right hand drive 275's with the factory hood scoop(always have to make something strange).

Thanks Tom, IMO these cars usually look thousand times better in if painted any other colour than red. Also, i try to make sure that there is or has been a car in a colour combination that i'm going to use.

Lusso has been on hold. I've been collecting parts for it, or actually hunting RMco.ofM 250GT SWB engine kit, which i managed to find couple of weeks ago, so that might be the next finished model. But next will be something new for Air Trax i think.

Great build but that kit has proportion and scale issues like many 1/43's do even though this is 1/12.

I have finished Marcello's Cisitalia, built as Tazio's 2nd place car in the 1947 Mille Miglia. Wire wheels were made by me, and the decals were made using the Decal Pro system. Does anyone have a rear image of this car, so I can make the correct license plate number?

So I bought a 30"x40" shadow box designed for displaying sports memorabilia like hockey jerseys for example. Then I had glass shelves cut to fit inside of it and had plexi pieces made to serve as supports for each shelf.

Excellent! Would it be hard to duplicate this collection? Are these models still available? Manufacturer(s)?

That looks great! I did similar with a shadow box, but used wood for the shelves. :) I wish I had that collection!

I've been working a little on my 1/12 F40, but have mostly been busy building some planes for my Lieutenant and Sergeant. The A10 was for my Lieutenant, who was former Air Force, and now has the call sign of A-10 (very fitting!). The paint scheme is loosely based on our patrol cars, which have a mountain scene on the side.

I haven't been working on this as much as I would like due to other projects, but now I started to make the wire wheels, so soon I can continue. I am using a lengthened SWB chassis and engine. I think I will paint it like 1721 GT, dark blue and silver top with a light gray interior.

Just beautiful! How many different model manufacturers are represented here? How many of these models do you think are currently available?

Awesome work with the shadow box shelves btw, really sharp looking! Might be time for me to start collecting 1/43 again after sticking to 1/18 for many years.

There are models from several manufacturers in there. I started building this collection 15 years ago and back then the choices were much more limited. Also because of this there are some models in the collection that have currently been released with higher quality. I was thinking of replacing them, but then decided to keep them to represent also the advancement in the industry. So there are models from:
    Brumm
    Minichamps
    Mattel Elite
    Hot wheels
    Ixo La Storia
and some models from the journal series that came with a magazine in Italy. I believe they are also made by Ixo/Altaya, but at a lower quality than their LaStoria collection. They are not the best, but the only way obtain models like 1960 and 1973 bolides. Johanson's car from 1986 is also theirs, but I think it was made before by either Tameo or BBR. I think the 1973 car was also made as a kit by some resin companies, but it is expensive, rare and with really low quality.
Assembling this collection today is not impossible, but it will take some time and it will cost a pretty penny. It could be improved too, but then its price would near that of a used 308.

Your Airtrax Ferrari 250 GT kit looks great. Looking forward to seeing more photos.
