I have this unit on my CS and i was wondering if i can reverse the switch so it defaults all the time to the value open? I hardly use the quiet mode except when starting the car early the in morning or coming home late at night...

My unit will not remember the last saved position. But I read the new units will remember the last saved settings. If the last saved setting is "open" then you have the condition you request.

I spoke to my Ferrari dealer today (Switzerland) about them buying and installing this device on my 458. He said the problem with it, is the engine fault icon remains on when its installed, has anyone had this problem and is their a solution?

Thanks everyone for the info! I just upgraded from an f430 to a scud so I might go this route.

I installed my remote unit on my f430 today, everything went well except the when the engine is running the control does not work, only when the key is in and the first position.

Everything seems to work properly but when I turn on the car everything goes back to Normal operation with the valves opening at revs.

Do you guys have a clue why my control fails to work when the engine is running?

Sorry for may spelling, yesterday I was half sleep when I wrote it.

Just to add, I check the control this morning and apparently it gets the signal from the remote but nothing moves. ( this is with the engine running )

Thanks for the great write up Stef. Just did this tonight, but have not had a chance to try it out as it's too late and everyone is asleep. For those with a Scud, you can do this all from the engine bay without removing the wheels or diffuser, but the location of the solenoids is partially hidden and you have to be very patient. The toughest part is getting the metal pin off so you can remove the plugs because they are in such an awkward spot but if you take your time, you can eventually get it.
