Here is some more information that Jason Mathews and I put together. This is going to be a GREAT event, and the chance to see our cars on TV too! Woo-Hoo!!!! Griots Garage is starting up a new event this year called: The (1st annual) Griot's Garage Italian Car Show and Exotic Car Gathering. It will be held at their flagship store in Tacoma on Saturday, September 1st 2012 starting at 11am. As with Exotics @ Redmond Town Center, this event is open to all Exotics. They have 10 nice trophies, ranging from people's choice, best paint, Griot's choice, along with date ranges, such as Best Italian pre-72', Best-Italian 72 - 82, and so on. There is also one award, best overall capable of 200+MPH which is the only trophy that can be won by anything exotic. All other trophies are specifically for Italian marques. Richard Griot just signed a deal to produce a nationally syndicated TV show to air on Fox Sports Network called Griot's Garage Treasures! There will be 13 episodes that will air from Oct. through December, and the debut episode will be filmed on location. In addition, an episode of LOKAR Car Show will be filmed around the show! There is a $10 entrant fee. What do you get for this fee? A private lunch for Italian and Exotic Car owners only, along with Richard Griot, the staff hosting the TV shows, etc. A custom lanyard and Griot's Garage key chain, and possibility to win a trophy if you bring an Italian ride. For exotic or Italian owners that don't want to pay, they can still come hang out, enjoy the activities, they just won't get the lunch, trophy potential, key chain, etc They are still working on a Raffle that will include a new Lambretta 150 Scooter and as in the past with the Italian Concours, all proceeds from the Raffle will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! There will be live music from Tony LaStella and Gumba's. This is going to be a great event!! I emailed Griot's to ask if we needed to let them know about lunch and never got a reply. There's nothing on their website about the lunch. I guess that we just pay there? Hopefully they won't run short of food.
That is correct. You just pay once you arrive. If it is like last year, they give you a ticket for the lunch. I have to swing into their place today, so I will confirm for sure. Mike
Yep. I just confirmed with Griot's today that you pay when you arrive. You will then get the attached. An ever so cool lanyard with participant pass and rubber key fob. This is what will give you access to the lunch. See everyone tomorrow!! Should be a great show!!! By the way, both Ferrari F1 cars are on display for tomorrow! It is so cool seeing them side-by-side and to see the differences between Jon's 1997 Schumacher F1 and Richard's 2000 Schumacher F1. VERY COOL!!! Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
In case any one is interested in this, a large group of us will be leaving E@RTC around 10-10:30 at latest and begin making a caravan to the Griot's event. We hope to see you there at E@RTC first and then make the trek down. It should be fun! —Vic

Pretty funny, but they filmed the 550 Barchetta to my right, Gary's kinda in front of me, Ken's 275, and totally skipped over my 308.....
Eric, how dare they skip over you! Dave Bowman also did an interview with me and the Countach earlier in the morning. I guess we are all going to be stars!! Mike
Mike, that's what I'm taking about...... I guess they didn't know they were dealing with the "baddest 308 in the PNW...." (what amateurs....)
