Took a similar one the other night, but it was more or less impossible to get a sharp pic. It was a spider that was sitting in it's web. Just when I am about the take the first pic a damn fly fly into the web grrrrrrrrrrrr All hell breaks loose and since I am doing it in darkness with a flashlight (speedlite for the cam) it is like impossible to get proper focus before the damn thing move. Two other shots using my macro lens. Strictly point and shoot. Was only aiming with the wrist at my nephew as he was talking about his day in kindergarten Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice, it doesn't move You should have one of those beached raccoons you see every now and then, on the other wall

A European Giant Hornet. (Vespa Crabro). Many (most) run away screaming when they see one. They are relatively harmless though. A big bee with bumble bee characteristics so to speak. I just let it crawl on my hand and shot some pics. It can sting, but hardly ever does. But when it does it's incredibly painful from what I have heard, and multiple stings will send you to a doctor. It is far from as dangerous as the Japanese Giant Hornet.
Today was our wedding anniversary, so we took another one of our traditional self portraits. Even when people offer to take our photo, we beg off and do our one arm attempt. I only wish my arm was a little longer. Image Unavailable, Please Login

The wasp pictures are creeping me out. I have an anaphylactic allergy to stings so when I check this thread I feel the need to remove my epi pen from my belt holder and keep it ready in my hand. But holding a wasp in your hand. What are you thinking? Beev Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know how you feel, I've been carrying Ana-kits/Epi-Pens since 1995. Used them so many times I can't remember...

A couple crappy cell pics taken yesterday that I like... First was taken at a local car show. The wind stopped blowing just as I pressed the button so not exactly what I was going for. Pics of cars at the show: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=382843. Second was inspired by a very impressive orange sunset and of course the cell phone didn't quite catch all of its beauty but nice nonetheless. Below are a couple cell phone pics I took inside an old school. I think the first came out great especially considering the photographer and his equipment. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
