waaaaay to heavy and unnecessary. A sequential gearbox will shift just as quick (<40 milliseconds) with less weight and less to go wrong.

    I was thinking that too.

Any ideas on making it work?

The problem is that the only way to monatise a racing effort is to get publicity for sponsors and otherwise it's not really a business that could earn money for investors.

he internet does have amazing reach today ....even with some preliminary artwork done already (don't get me wrong, the sketches look great) , but perhaps consider holding a design contest, not so much to use the finalist(s), but rather to garner and even larger exposure (as result), gather new ideas, and likey could be done relatively inexpensively (maybe for a collection of p3/4c team wear as prize?), nothing whips up interest like images and participation ...just one idea :)

When your cars are known BECAUSE of the internet, it would seem it's a valuable resource. One that should be completely exploited as to attain more sponsorship and attention. Just look at how long it took for those sketches to go viral! People want to know about this.

Jim, if the project goes ahead (and i really hope it will), and it´s not powered by a Ferrari engine anymore, will you still keep the same badges on the car? I ask this because they are obviously inspired by the Ferrari ones (wich makes perfect sense since the P4/5 competizione is based on a Ferrari) and since there would be no more Ferrari links , perhaps they could be redesign....

?? Our shields were inspired by and use the Torch from The Statue of Liberty and uses the Font of The Declaration of Independence.

As far as the Prancing horse, which we don't use The City of Stuttgart has been using that symbol for hundreds of years before Ferrari existed.

We not Ferrari own all P 4/5 IP.

It is possible that P 4/5 LMP will be branded as another Manufacture on the Nose but it will still carry SCG Shields.

I know you use the torch, i was simply refering to the shape of the shields with the colours of the country on top....and just for the record, i very much like both front and side badge/shield as you currently have them, just wondering, since the powertrain will mostly change, if you would be considering to also make other changes to your team image. I guess since you are now a "constructer" it makes perfect sence to give the car a "brand".

    Nope.

That shape has been used for shields for hundreds of years.

If this car will have a custom made chassis, a non Ferrari derived power plant and drive train, custom made bodywork and no input from Ferrari at all, why is the thread in the "Ferrari Discussion (not model specific)" section?

At the end of the day, it's not a discussion about a Ferrari!

    (Now wear did I leave that Kevlar helmet? - "IN-COMING!!!" :p )
