They are overdone but everyone who drives on a road course should know how to do one.

From what I've been told young women with tattoos and piercings like them a lot.

Knowing how to do them is one thing, having a car that ABLE to do one is another.
If I tried that with my 308 there'd probably be chunks of clutch, gears, driveshafts, and maybe pistons scattered all over the track lol

I actually read Jalopnik as well as several other Gawker sites.. (Gizmodo, Deadspin, etc). They are what they are. Pretty entertaining in many cases actually once you get used to their style.

I don't see a problem with them scooping stories here as long as FerrariChat gets credit and a link-back.

Personally, I thought that most people would be outraged at making fun of or posting off color remarks of someone else's tragedy or injury, particularly as we (I assume) care about what happens to other auto enthusiasts when they have an accident.

I guess I was wrong. I apologize if some of you think this is acceptable behavior.

Well, that's a good idea. But, there is one little problem.

Jalopnik fishes here for stories and reposts them with their own spin and for the delight of their troll readers who like to make snide remarks about event or tragedy that occurred.

Maybe they should stop reading Fchat?

Its rather obvious that a few here have decided to take a few pot shots at me and miss the entire point.

It's not about me. It's about what this website does to other owners.

I just hope your mangled car doesn't end up in a title page of Jalopnik one day with a bunch of creeps saying how you deserved it because you drove "an overrated out-of-date POS with red valve covers".

Rest assured, if they do, we (-- no sorry I -- ) will speak up on your behalf.

News flash, in case the obvious was missed... that is how stories are spread / distributed from the original source... the greater the interest, no matter how perverse, the further the story spreads...

Bob - you gotta let some things roll off your back.
You (or even "We") are not going to change Jalopnik's policy of not censoring their comments.
Having our feelings hurt will not stop them from occasionally poking fun at Ferrari's propensity to go up in flames (I am impressed there was no joke about the Ferrari Museum's state of the art fire extinguishing system in the latest piece!).
The fact is most people just aren't going to get fired up (cough) about anonymous comments on another board.

Are coarse comments indicative of a general relaxing of standards of decency and public discourse? Yeah maybe, hell I can't go out in public anymore it seems without hearing people loudly dropping f-bombs, not to mention what passes for comedy on TV.

I don't believe you. Please prove it :)

My bud took this awesome pic today at Spa.
Now THAT'S what you're supposed to do with a Ferrari :D

I simply repost #95. If someone thinks that is out of line, well, so be it.

The Mayor is right in one thing: someone has to flame the flamers.
