I have a loud pop on the driver side door, yup the door roll pin is broken. The passenger side was broken some years ago and I fixed that for $1. Called Ricambi this morning, the pin is listed on the web for 90 cents, but the superceding part number is $18 before shipping. Well, I love Daniel, and it is not his fault, but $18 for a pin and it is not even solid metal? There is a point when one says "I have had it and I am not taking it anymore."

OK, can anybody point to a catalog of roll pins where I can measure, look up, and buy 100 for $18?

Plan B is to buy a Brideport metal milling machine.

Wasn't there another thread on this very issue recently? Someone picked up a generic roll pin at a local parts store and it worked fine, IIRC. It was a pin with a groove, and just needed a little tweeking to make it fit.

I've got a few I can send you if you want. T Rutlands sent me replacments from my initial order as the specs on the first batch were tight. I won't need them so happy to mail them to you and you can see which ones fit, I'm sure one will. PM me if interested....

That was me.. Napa stocks them, their called "roll pins" I purchased 3 of them, total cost $1.26. I agree, some of this pricing is out of hand.

Well, the "pop pop" became "bang zing" and the pin flew out in 2 pieces of different directions. So now I really need this roll pin. Napa near me does not have any so Mcmaster it is. My trusty caliper says the outside diameter is exactly 0.250 inch compressed, 0.8 inch long, and a pack of 100 is $7.00.

The next 99 door pins to my Fchat brothers are on me, for a cost of a stamp. Take that Ferrari.

First hint, get the 6mm diameter 20mm length. It will fit just right.

Actually a 348. But it uses the same pin as the 328 and possibly the 308
