Well the time has come for another winter sleep for my baby. But it will be a winter of clean-up and engine work.

I'm going to rebuild the engine, refinish the seats, and get some new rims(i hope). Should be a very expensive winter!! Awell thing this we do for our cars.

Does anybody here have any winter projects planed for their cars while there off the road?

I don't really store my car, as the winters are mild here in Seattle, so the car is driven weekly, even in the winter. But I am thinking about putting the car on jack stands, removing the wheels having all four resprayed. They are not damaged, but have a couple spots of peeling paint, and the last time tires were mounted they put the wheel weights on both sides of the rim, and I am thinking when the weights come off, paint is likely to come with them. I really like the brighter silver used on the 355/360 wheels as it makes them "pop" out more, so that is my plan.

Just like Dave, we here in the Northwest drive our cars all winter long, but I do have some-what big projects in line for mine (which will involve driving downtime):
    • Get the dent on the nose fixed.
    • Install new window felt, re&re power window system, install a new radio speaker and trace down some sort-of electrical short in the Passenger's side door.
    • I'd also like to recheck the valve clearances.
    • Check and possible rebuild of the waterpump.
    • New fuel pump!
    • Re-chrome the wheel bolts (some of them are really rusty!)
    • Fluid changes: engine & tranny oil, brake, coolant

I expect to replace all the window trim, door seals. New wiper blades coming from UK. And clean/polish my suspension, I want to preserve last winter's work :)
I'll probably make some tan seat covers as well, no $ for an interior this year.

Could have some brown to it now, especially right down the middle.

Keeps me from crying. If not I may as well use tampons and call myself Francis.

    Nope!
Bought decent leather ones though. And a tooth brush and Spray Nine made a big difference to the rest.
    Now about those squeaky shocks...;)

Good for you. The patina is partly due to driving with the windows down at high speeds. Great airflow through the interior.
