If it has original LM peices and was raced during the pebble beach events...I wouldnt think anything less than 2M$ ?

This year I had the opportunity to put quite a few fast, mountain road miles on this same ATS. It is quite an interesting car, and entertaining to drive. Predictable and very fast for the era. I agree with the other post about what it will bring at auction...who knows?

There is an article about the car in this month's Classic Cars magazine.

    Andrew,

$2M would get you about 40% of that car! The yellow one I saw during the same weekend being sold by Gooding (Mr. Walton's car) has an asking price in the $7M range. So the red one is a bargain.

    Geno.

Estimate for the car of this thread is 300k pounds..

Roof is a little too bulky for that price...

No, that yellow one at Gooding's is not owned by Mr. Walton and has never been. The S/N is 5843.

Thanks for clarifying. Some one misinformed me.

About the price of a low end 599, but unlikely to depreciate as quickly.

Marcel- What is your opinion on the repros made up from the burned remains?

The 250 LM remains my number one desirable Ferrari, especially a LHD short nose if there was one. Unfortunately, I sold Marcel's 250 LM book over a decade ago, so cannot check.

since this is a recent thread, and who doesn't love the LM and rank it at least in the top ten if not #1...

Many years ago - too many - Joe Rosen gave me a ride in 5901. Several laps around LRP. Still grinning soooo many years later. As I recall the license said "67FIAT"

and I still have Marcel's book...

    Cheers,
    Charley

Nice story, and welcome to F-chat. For the sake of non-Americans: which circuit does LRP stand for?
