Garry Shandling (1987) flies TransOzark airlines and has to sit in the chewing section. Tobacco juice and laughs starts flowing. Can't find the video. Probably the funniest single skit I have ever seen on the show.

Robert Wagner as a suave, sophisticated seductor, eating dinner with Jan Hooks IIRC. Except he eats like a pig (drinking soup out of the bowl, gnawing off pieces of steak, etc). Hilarious.

Alec Baldwin in 1994 in a skit called The Rookie Cop. Every cast member was in it, each had a tube through their sleeve for fake vomit. Chris Elliot has a great ad-lib when his doesn't work on cue.

    Hulu....can't view from Canada :(

I like watching people/actors trying so hard not to laugh. "Down by the river" comes to mind.

Yeah,me too...see some of the Carol Burnett show when Tim Conway turns Harvey Korman into jello..funny stuff.
On snl bass-o-matic,killer bees, skeezix all got snuffles from me...and anything Andy Kaufman,he was such an amazing performer..never see anything like him again...Samauri hit man wonderful...and one time they did a taped show, iirc, from Nola and one of the skits was Belushi doing Mussolini from a balcony..Imho it was brilliant,JB's fake Italian gibberish actually translating into something passably coherent and totally believable as El Duce.
    Cheers,
    RE
Ps,it was their MardiGras special Feb77..JB played the part of Ricki Mussolini,a successful used truck salesman, who was commemorating his uncle's,Il Duce, visit of 1940...his speech had one understandable word,"party",at which the crowd below went crazy...had Italian bunting on the balconies and everything...vintage hootage.

My first thought was "more cow bell!" Wax beat me to it.

I also like Alex Baldwin as Pete Shweddy and his Shweddy Balls.

Off the top of my head:

Phil Hartman as Sinatra hosting Sinead O'Connor, Billy Idol, Chris Rock

Steve Martin as The Elephant Guy

Chris Farley - Matt Foley and Bennett Braugher

    Many, many more

    Oh, great calls!

To this day, it makes my folks happy to think back on those times when they'd be in their own bed, hearing me from the living room laughing hysterically at Mr. Bill videos, Point-Counterpoint and the skits done by those that defined that era, and the show.

Does anyone recall a skit [I dont think it was SNL] in which parrots were used as the characters from the movie Deliverence? One of the funniest things I ever saw but can find nothing about it now. Mike

I am not sure if I ever saw it but the topic is based on SNL skits.

One skit I from SNL I cannot find is when Amy Poehler was butt pregnant, hilarious!!

Pretty much any Andy Samberg Digital Short is good for a laugh or two and this has got to be the most famous of his work...SNL just isn't the same without him :(

The other day I was watching the best guests from SNL. And by far the best was Alec Balwin. He's been on a billion times. Unfortunatly there doesnt seem to be many youtube clips. I was trying to find the boy scout one but could not. Anyone remember. It was disturbingly funny :D
