Maybe true for some of his kits, however most not ! Take a look at his site, see how he works, he documents the proces quite well...
Many (most) of Yow's models are/were never released by Alezan

Great find! Lovely to see a Silhouette being driven, and also to get some decent views of an original interior.

One thing intrigues me: at around 3.58 and again at about 5.30, the driver appears to put the car into either second or reverse (i.e. he pushes the gear lever forward, rather than backwards and left into first) before pulling away briskly. Is this because the director thought most viewers would be confused by the Silhouette's 'dog leg' shift pattern? Or were they trying not to pull away too quickly for the cameraman? We can but speculate.

I'm also curious as to what material the seats are made from (other than the central stripe, which is presumably leather). I've seen this material in photos of other older Lamborghinis but never been sure what it is (it doesn't look like normal cloth). At some point I hope to restore the interior of my car (#40052) back to its original appearance, which might have included this material.

Does someone know where to buy the Silhouette tires :
    195x50x15
    285x40x15

the rear is impossible to find... Yokohama was doing one, but not available actually overhere in Europe.

Countach 345x35x15 can't fit the 11x15 rear wheel.

    Any suggestion is welcome !!!

    Thanks in advance.

Matching leather was used on the door cards, outer seat panels and centre seat stripe. For the naturale cars this is the same colour as P300 door cards and seats.

Matching material was used on the seats, door card centre panel and head lining. This is also the material used on the Countach headlining during this period. Finding some today is another matter! Have a look at page 672 of the Countach thread.

Certainly 40000 during development without bonnet badge or black painted spoiler but who is the guy in the white coat? He seems to be walking purposefully towards the car perhaps in anticpation on another enjoyable outing!

See A photo of fabric-covered seats, like the ones in the video for your information on Page 16 of this thread.

I will check the ETRTO guidelines on Monday as I believe the 345 tyre is actually permissible fit on 11-13" wide rims.

It will fit the rim. It will rub the inside on any bump or with a passenger. My Jalpa had them on. it. Looked cool, but don't do it. Pic is with the 345.

What a good looking Jalpa! I like the black color, wing and Bravo wheels. Glad that you still have it.

There is a guy in Denver with 345s on his Jalpa and they hit the fenders ever time he does just about anything... to the point that he had to have his fender fixed and they still hit. The 285s fit with no issues though. I have them on both of my Jalpas with Bravos.

Great looking Jalpa... Want to trade for a red one?

I'm no expert on models but I think the Bravo wheels used by Yow Modellini are erroneously based on the split rim wheels seen at one time on Bravo itself and the 1976 Turin show car. These wheels have the same smaller size telephone dial holes front and rear which makes them look different to the one piece Bravo wheels. Minichamps got them correct. I just wonder why Minichamps has never made a P300 version of the Urraco (with chrome bumpers please). I live in hope.

    Hello everybody,

being at home for a few days I decided to browse through some drawers, full of old, mainly Lamborghini-related stuff. I found many interesting things and one of them is this picture....

Federica is driving our Silhouette #40054 as I am standing on the right, trying to be a sort of speaker for the event. I am not even dressed properly! My only excuse is that I was asked to be the speaker only 30 minutes before the cars began their run on this catwalk. My friend Simon Kidston, the Prince of the classic-cars Concours speakers, would have never been caught off-guard like me.

It is interesting to see two old friends like Paul Frére and Peter Dron sitting at the 'jury table', so to speak, while I describe the Lamborghinis passing by. The event was one of the first 'Lamborghini Days'.... sadly, I don't remember which one. This picture recalls very fond memories of those nice friendly events and of a lost and much lamented 'old-school' Lamborghini!

Wishing you all a very happy holiday season,

    Stefano
