Friends, I bent my fuel sender like an idiot when I painted my tank and know several here are building track cars out of GT4's and wondered if anyone had a fuel sending in good shape. I am going to try to bend it back but would pay dearly for one in this shape. I dont know what I wa thinking they are NLA.... There is one on ebay, universal for ferrari...just type "ferrari fuel sender" it looks very similar to the one pictured here
What about these? http://www.superformance.co.uk/a-308/carb.htm Or this? http://www.dinoparts.eu/EN/ferrari-208-308-gt4/carburettors-fuel-supply/tank-more/fuel-filler-sensor.html /Pero
Was looking at a non original replacement sender for my GTS and found the below unit which is damped and might take the guess work out of the tank gauge on long trips. Anyone know the resistance range of the gauge fitted to our fuel tanks? http://www.v3instruments.com/pdfs/lls_export_rev.pdf
Also check out this website, http://www.international-auto.com/fuel-and-emissions-systems/fuel-tank-sending-units.cfm They have Fiat, Lancia senders and they look very very similar...just match the ohms scale.... Just a stupid question but have you tried bending it back?
Also, if its not too much trouble, could someone please put in here what the ohms range is? Mine is broken so I'm having problems finding a suitable substitute without that bit of info..thanks
Friends, I am sorry I forgot to post the end story. I used the photo I took before I bent it and bent it back exactly like it was and now it is fine! I could never get any readings off it which is strange, but it works so I am not going to complain!!!!! WOW that fiat one looks very close I wonder if they have one that is he same length???????????
