Carnuba wax won't do much for scratches. Most auto parts stores have a wax called Nu Finish (liquid in an orange bottle), that polishes pretty well. I use it daily, to take out light scratches on motorcycle paint work. It's a decent wax too. Smells like gasoline, and not friendly to hands (doesn't hurt, or peel skin off, but skin just feels bad if you use it bare handed for very long)

At $21 a tub (including shipping), I like S100 carnuba wax. This is the version they make for motorcycles. They sell the same wax for cars at about 50% more. Many people apply this bare handed. Hands seem to like it. http://www.amazon.com/S100-Carnauba-Motorcycle-Paste-Wax/dp/B000SONNZW/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1351398185&sr=1-1&keywords=s100+wax

At $20 a bottle, there is a spray wax from Optimum which is amazingly easy to use, leaves a great shine, makes it easy to get dust off of the car later, and smells good too. (but won't remove scratches). Works as a quick detailer too.

I'm sure others will chime in with their recommendations.

Heres the obligatory plug for Griot's products. They may not be super high end like the Zaino stuff, but they are of consistently high quality compared to most mass-market polishes, compounds, clay bar and waxes.

Auto Zone carries many of the more popular products in store now, at least all the local stores in my area do.

Enough of my endorsement, here's a picture of results:

My vote is "Finish First" polish. You can find it online. It goes on and comes off easily and the shine is amazing. Many of my Ferrari friends have switched over to using it too.
