Hi All I have technical problem in my ferrari modena 360 2001 model it's the oil tempreture rais hight upto 160 - 170 and the oil pursure drop below 5 bar upto 2.5 bar and some time when tempreture rais to 170 the oil pursure goes blow 2.5 bar, I trying to solve the problem and I change the oil pursure sender but the oil still get hight Thank You Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk 2
160C (320F) is simply way too hot--even for sustained track use. My F355 runs only 135C (275F) after 20 minutes of sustained hard running on race tracks. DO NOT DRIVE the car until you get the oil temperature situation resolved. As hot as the oil is getting, you would need xxW-60 oil in the motor to protect it from excessive wear. Suggest you look at the following blockages in the oil heat exchanger on both the air side and the oil side, the oil thermostat might not be opening, the engine is running way too lean. Sounds like a job for the Ferrari mechanic.
Agreed above as regards temperature. I've only once seen 50% plus on the oil temp gauge after a long track session on a warm day. Generally I would never see more than 33% of the gauge used no matter how long or hard I drive. As regards pressure - 2.5 bar equates to about 25% of the gauge and depending on the RPM (which you didn't specify) this could be perfectly ok. Does it take a long time to register such a high temperature? If it goes up to those dizzy heights in only a few minutes I'd say it would likely point to a faulty sensor.
If it goes straight up when you start the engine, you have a temp sender or wiring, not pressure sender issue. Temp sender is located in the gearbox near the starter. If it's REALLY reaching those kind of temps, i'd suggest you stop driving it and take it to a shop....
