With the last of my pre-2000 buddies selling his 328 to get an F360, my 38-year old girl will have to work even harder to keep up. So I am driving the living daylights out of her. 40,000 miles in my 6 years of ownership, most of them at over 4000 rpm. Yeah, I go for somewhat modded * Superformance wheels and Bridgestone rubber (a MUST) * QA-1 shocks and springs (a MUST, best decision ever) * X-Ost muffler (highly recommended) * Nuvoulari headers (because the stock ones were shot - not an upgrade in my view) * Thicker anti roll bar in rear (don't really notice any difference) * Poly bushings (don't really notice any difference) * Hispec / Superformance brake upgrade (front) (HIGHLY recommended) * Black stallion electronic ignition (never missed a beat, no maintenance needed either) * K&N air filter (came with the car couldn't tell the difference) * Sam Saprunoff fuse boxes (he did a batch a few years back, similar to Birdman ones, but with blade fuses). (HIGHLY recommended) * Leather interior (came with the car, like it a lot) * Drilled pedals (hate them, since I am always driving bare-footed, I have a print of the clutch pedal in my left foot) * Alu shift knob (came with the car, kind of like the looks) * Custom-mixed color for the respray (because I wanted that color)
So far on my Euro QV: Stebro exhaust Birdman fusebox Dave Helms fuel hoses 16" wheels from Superformance Hazard switch bypass relay Probably soon: Coolant hoses Window and headlight relays LED panel lights Front brake upgrades SS brake lines
Just a few, looking to stay mostly stock. '79 GTS (US Spec) * Electomotive Direct Fire Ignition (Nick Forza) * Tubi (no cats) * Rejetted Carbs * Disconnected Choke/High Idle * SS Valves (sad tale) * 16" BBS Wheels (still have the 14s but can not find good rubber) * No air pump etc. (got it that way)
Everything reversable on my '83 308 QV: * Birdman Fuseboxes * Dave Helms Fuel Hoses * CF Air Intake Pipe * Aluminum Pedals * SS Shift Knob * LED Instrument Lights & Dimmer Bypass * Fast-Idle Bypass * Air Pump / Smog Equip Removed * Window Tinting * Aftermarket Stereo (never use) * Ricambi-America Floor Mats
I havent had my euroqv very long but I am interested in installing an accusump,,could you post a pic or description of your installation? Thanks
-cats and smog gear removed (legal in TX for 25+ yr. old cars) -Tubi -custom built small mufflers to replace cats -upgrade radiator fans -recored radiator -secondary coolant overflow tank -328 impeller in water pump -Birdman fuseblocks -bypass on instrument light brightness adjustment -"slickshift" shifter gate -gate lock (use it consistently) -billet aluminum shifter knob -Superformance early 308 repro steering wheel -drilled pedals and dead pedal -dash cover -rubber floormats over carpet -"mat grabbers" -two repro replacement "banana" dash vents (yet to install) -Ferrari aluminum gascap -clipon front plate holder -4 new Dunlop tires to match factory spec. I think that's all, down to the last bit. All original parts stored and reinstallable.
Sure but give me a day or two. That went on after I had had enough of zero oil psi in hard corners (right or left? I can't remember now) and the associated valve clatter. I did a great deal of tracking years ago and thought the accusump would fix it. It really didn't. A little maybe but not worth the effort. The windage tray is the end all be all answer to this problem. 100% cured, end of story. So I still had that big sump sitting there doing nothing really until I decided to put a switched valve on it. Now before I shut it off I rev it a few times to make sure the sump is filled, then I turn off the car. That's it. Now, whenever I start it again (really nice if she has been sitting a few weeks) all I do is turn the key on and wait a few seconds for the sump to shove a quart and a half of oil in the top of the engine and build up some psi before I start it. I have nearly 110,000 miles on my car so those oils soaked start ups are sweet.

'85 euro that's relatively stock, considering it's a euro in the US. Personally all I've done is an anodized shift knob from Ricambi, but I have the window accelerators on the shelf if I ever get the ambition to fix my windows. However being a euro in the US, it was modified a little way before my ownership - corner markers, US exhaust manifolds and an Ansa muffler that doesn't fit properly, but no cats. Luckily that's about it, so it's still mostly as it came from the factory. My plan is to get the euro headers and an interesting muffler whenever the car fund recovers, maybe a few other little things like floormats and Birdman's fuse box, but nothing major. I like it the way it is.
