Mark was REALLY fast in the Abarth race! The Fiats are a great add to CCR. In fact, it's very obvious that CCR as a whole has a very bright future. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces and make some new friends throughout the entire event. What a blast.
Mark is just silly fast! Just look at his Ferrari Challenge championship. how many Abarths were racing?
Good to see you John...thanks again for the tickets. I'll get you Jason's email and maybe get you hooked up on some golf. We had a blast. I'll post all my pics later tonight.
there were 6 cars. They decided to do a 40 min endure, so half the fun was watching the driver changes. Alan also requested a "full pit stop", so the Universal guys did an old-school NASCAR stop (rotated the tires, since there were no spares). I ordered mine from Ansa on Thursday, after Alain figured out how he could fit my daughter in the car and still allow me to drive it was well. CCR races were a blast - big field, hard racing. Incredible event, congrats to John and Franco....can't wait for Sebring. Really good sized field of 355's, though there was room for one more out there...
Had a blast. Was there Thursday, Fri n Sat. Thanks again John for the tickets, I handed them out to alot of people. I've got tons of pics n vid but seems plenty has been posted already. I'm not sure if hes a member here or not but the #4 355x was my favorite, I mean wow, did you all hear that thing?!?!?!
Jennie bought an Abarth, but she would kill me if I made it into race car so quick. They are great cars even street version. Reminds me of the RX8 which was a great street car and then we made even better by racing it.
ah, see my plot is to get my wife into driving the Abarth.....going the opposite way, see if she'll let me drive the race car on the street (it is street legal even in "Challenge" trim, at least in our state)
A couple more of my Abarth pics in this post, http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=141852209#post141852209.
Full image selection now online! 200+ photos from last weekend's festivities. http://www.supercarprints.com/Events/Track-Days/2012-French-Quarter-Classic/26177417_mHqW8F It was a great event and fantastic to be out in the infield watching a huge stack of challenge cars and the paddock + event center lined with spectators. Here's to hoping John & Franco bring it back next year. My favorite moment of the weekend: daytime break glow on ceramics. Hats off to this guy...that's proper use! Image Unavailable, Please Login
