that was my dream car growing up. I realize know it has no balls but it's still a sweet looking ride. From what I've read those "bowling ball hubcaps"can be a pain to find but the rest of it is awesome. congrats great find
The 1989 TA's with the Pontiac reworked Buick/GN 3.8l v-6 turbo is the year/model to look out for. Pontiac made those motors sing and were the only pace cars (back in the day) that didn't need an aftermarket bump, to pace the Indy 500. I think you could also get them with the WS6 handling pkg too. Next to those the 1LE Bird and Camaro's were rare as well. Those were used in the Players/GM racing series in the mid-to late 80's. IIRC they had factory sealed 5l engines.
Only if Amy is rubbing you all over as you bid. Black and gold has always been a good combination. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWF-hH1nloo[/ame]
Its great! But winter is here in Colorado so I suppose its time to send it down the road (even though it was 70 something today) so let me know if somebody is feeling reminiscent.... or lustful hahaha!
I had an '82 Trans Am special ordered and delivered in June of '82. It had the Cross-Fire Infection engine and it was red with tan leather. It was a beautiful car to look at but it spent most of its life on a flatbed. I traded it in on a 1985 TA and never looked back. Still, it was a looker especially with the t-tops off on a nice sunny Florida day
I just found this thread. My screen name comes from the fact my first car, which I still own, is a 1989 Gray Trans AM. Thus the GrayTA!! I was all excited to find another 3rd gen owner here!!! PDG
