I don't wash much at all but I do WISH that I was younger and that I lived next door. You have done a good thing with your giving us a connection to the past with your beautiful little airplanes. Hats off to you!

    Super neat :)

Any plans to take a GoPro camera up?

Are the "skis" on the LG permanent? I assume they're to prevent nose-overs, can you take them off once you're comfortable landing without?

Not generally removable, (I don't think).

As I recall, the Tabloid had the SKIDS to prevent tip-over due to the somewhat rearward location of the main gear. Not a good idea to remove them.

From pics, original Tabloids had skids (wood, tho), as did a number of other WWI planes.

Some of the Baby's did not, and had the main gear mounted farther forward.

    Wouldn't that be fun.
Unfortunately I have a red-headed mistress that keeps my wallet occupied.

I agree that would be great fun. I don't have a red headed mistress but I am busy dodging a guy with heavier motives than those of a red head. Looking at that little Tabloid it is obvious that it is a cream puff to fly and fun to display. Somebody is going to have a lot of fun with that .

As long as I keep her in the basement under the car cover my lunch will be safe for the time being.
