OKC has a lot of exotics, it just seems to be a more scattered community and not as much of a tight group as Tulsa. Mickey's Garage in Norman is a great independent shop for Ferrari and Lamborghini service. He's a certified mechanic and very good guy.
Here's a few from the C&C. I thought the turnout was great given the 45ish temps! Only one F-car while I was there, a beautiful 550. First one I'd ever seen, that interior looks incredibly luxurious. There was a red 575 parked next to the red 550 for awhile kinda interesting to see the differences between the 2. I think it was a 3 pedal 575.
Until a red 575 showed up near the end Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
On my way back home from Coffee and Cars in OKC (Edmond) this past Saturday I saw this red 550 in a shopping center parking lot, so naturally I had to take a picture seeing as its one of my favorites. This wouldn't happen to have been yours would it? Image Unavailable, Please Login
3 red gt's in one day, that's impressive, I talked to the guy with the red 550 and the red 575, nice guys
I had a chat with the older gentleman who had the 550. Nice guy, really seems to just love the car (and who can blame him)!
I talked to him also, he seems to know more about 550 and 575's than about anyone I have ever talked to. Really nice and a wealth of information. The guy tall guy with the 575 also knew a lot about them.
Couple of cool pics from today's cars and coffee OKC. We got 5 of us together and made the trek... rare sight of some Ferrari heritage. All Rosso Corsa... Euro 308GTB QV, 355 F1 spider, 550, 430 spider, 458 Italia... we would've had 9 of them but a few guys had to back out this morning (Mondial, 328, 360, another 458... incidentally all red ones). We'll get them all together soon. There was a grigio 430 scud there as well but I couldn't find the owner of that car. There was an interesting 72' Lambo Espada next to us and the usual group of Lambo's... 7 of them I believe. The owner of that lambo next to you also has a rossa corsa 550, after you left a 575 in rossa corsa showed up, you all should get together it would make a great picture!
I didn't see a grigio scud, but I did see a grigio F430 with aftermarket rims, perhaps what you saw as well. The owner of that car is a real young guy. And the F430 spider you refer to is actually a 360 spider if I'm not mistaken. Nevertheless, great showing of F-cars. And the Lamborghini Espada was a particularly great thing to see. Nice pics!
Football player, no kidding? Not really surprised I guess, a lot of the athletes seem to have nice cars, though that one definitely takes the cake
That orange Gallardo Spyder is mine. I'm a student at OSU (sadly not a football player). I'm from Tulsa so I occasionally drive it there as well.
I would as soon as my car gets the care it needs. maybe in late spring. If you would PM me with your contact info. Thanks...Steve
I saw a nice looking gray Cali (I wasnt close enough to see which shade) with yellow calipers getting on south bound 169 at 71st around lunch time yesterday. It sounded good running it out on the long straight onramp.
