extreme Thanks. That "thing" I think thats a good name for it. The Thing. Its bolted to the front wall of the square hole in trunk. There is a digital volt meter (I will post a pic) Located on the floor driveres side left by the door that reads 14.0 That must be for it...Thanks ...I don't know if I should be elated that I have that or scared! :>)

what about the crappy little speakers in the car. my 348 had $3 speakers installed from the factory. that amp will probably turn them into tissue paper in no time.
Whats the draw on the alternator again?

I dont know for sure. I was told this volt meter located on thefloor between the drivers door and drivers seat should be around 130 10 140. I really dont what it all means. Prolly going to have to take it to my local Audio gurus...Has anypne seen this voltage meter. It looks factory...and does it have anything to do with that amp?

The Volt meter is from the old Stinger audio range, definitely not standard.

Like Neil said it's aftermarket and goes along with that power sub-station you have in the front of the car.

    Steve,

I spent over 20 years installing car audio to the highest level where we won every European trophy, installed over 100 Ferraris including F40s and an F50, had amazing installs in ALL of my cars, old customers always ask me what I have done to my spider, I show them the Becker head unit and the display which reads.........................................CODE.......

    Does it work? Sound Good?

If you like it leave it... If you want the trunk space then set it free... :)

You can get the code from Becker. Costs about €20.

Sorry Steve, what I'm saying is I've done absolutely nothing to it, not even bothered to input the code after the the first service when the battery was disconected, it's just not worth it for me personally as I'm too busy enjoying the driving, even my girlfriend never asks for the radio on in the Ferrari.
But if yours sounds good, keep it and enjoy it.

Oh ok. Thanks for clarification. As I mentioned this amp was in the car when I bought it and at the moment seems to be serving no purpose as I cant even tell how to turn it on. I like it though. I have some car audio equipment to go with it. I will post some info and pics when I get it sortedout. Thanksto you and everyone for your input it was very helpful!
