I am trying to determine if anyone has taken delivery of a car that was status 90 prior to Sandy. I am still surprised Ferrari has no status on the port and delivery.

My 458 Spider arrived at the port just before Sandy blew in. I was told that the cars were put upstairs in a building at the port to keep them away from the water that rolled in. Mine is now on a truck to Northern California and is to arrive mid next week.

My Spider also arrived at port prior to Sandy. It is still in status 91 and my dealership at this time can not get anymore information. They are telling me that it should arrive any day.

My car went status 90 first week of October. So, it probably arrived at the port right around the time the storm hit. I heard the port was damaged big time and many other cars from different manufacturers were damaged. I can't get any info on the Ferrari storage area though. My dealer has no interest in giving me any information on the car either. My concern however is water damage and would love to see how the cars are stored at the port prior to being wholesaled to the dealer.

I've been expecting my car in the same timeframe, and the dealer told me that while the storm has delayed shipments back to dealers, the Ferrari storage facility is in a high location that was not flooded.

I was told by FNA, as well as Horseless Carriage, the transporter for Ferrari, that there was no storm damage to any maseratis or ferraris. The containers wre put in the warehouse and the loading dock was about six feet off the ground. HC said they are about three weeks behind schedule. My car should have hit port the week of October 22 and is supposed to be at the dealer today - so it has taken almost a month from the date it landed until it hit the dealer.

I'm in the same boat (so to speak). My spider was supposed to arrive in NJ 2 weeks ago and be delivered late last week. So far my dealer hasn't been able to get any info. That is seriously unacceptable but unfortunately not surprising. It's far easier for me to track the $80 turkey fryer that's on the way...how does that make sense?

I thought I would be driving a new 458 instead. With that said, give thanks that we are safe, kids are home, and it is still great to dream about the new car... if it ever comes!

My car was shipped late October; around the 22nd and I was told yesterday the ship was arriving tomorrow or Saturday. My spider should be in Miami along with five other assorted Ferrari models late next week.

I would ask the dealer to fly one in on their nickel. You're a great customer of theirs and you are now also a victim of Sandy.

I hope this works out to your satisfaction. That is rotten luck.

I live in Washington DC. I am growing concerned that the car is a no-show or I am not being told the real story.
