Wish I could have joined you but was stuck at work.

Pay parking was a home run. Lot H was primo.

I left the lot at 3:15 today, home in my chair in Dallas at 6:45. 14 TxHP cars before Temple, most of them on 130. Over half had people pulled over. I had maybe 5 minutes of traffic back up, that's it. I DID make an effort to get my butt on the road though.

I pulled in to park yesterday and the Boardwalk Ferrari VW minivan with a Scuderia shield on the hood pulled in next to me. Hi Steve! Today as I unloaded there was Wade passing by.

I stayed in NW Austin near Mopac and Braker. Today I went a little North and took Parmer all the way to 130. It worked beautifully.

I was stunned at the absolute efficiency of the event, especially the shuttle plan. I left San Antonio at 0715, and was parked at the Expo Center (with no delays) by 0900. No wait for a bus, no delay on the bus, no delay walk to the track. I was inside by 1000. We had a little tailgate lunch at the Expo Center.

Good views from GA, no food lines at 1030 AM, easy to walk around, nice facilities, good overall strategic thinking. Vendors prices were high, but so what? Event programs were sold out on Sat, with no programs at all on Sun? Small, but kind of a no brainer.

Very pleased with the painless day, meaning I enjoyed the race. Ordering MotoGP tickets tomorrow.

They really did a good job. Thank you to all the law enforcement who helped and the bus drivers. You made a great first impression.

When you left the race, did you head North on 130 about 3:30? Did you have your drivers window down?

I'm 95% sure we passed you. There can't be two of those running around. I told my kids that you were a DFW guy, then I had to explain to them how I knew that. And how I knew what you were driving. It's weird to have that discussion, even though they know Rob and his website. ;)

I embarrassed the crap out of my kids while leaving yesterday. I had the windows down because it was a beautiful day, but I thanked every single worker we passed that could hear me. The cops, the Sheriffs, the guys from the military.
