He is probably the primary multi-purpose announcer for Speed, so he won't be unemployed. I don't have a problem with Varsha at all, but I wouldn't have having a Brit as the lead announcer.
Brundle and Coulthard in the booth, and alternate on the grid walk. Pit lane/ race analysis by Anthony Davidson Anchored by Georgie Thompson, with much positive hindrance from Eddie Jordan.... No place for Croft, Lazenby, Hill, Herbert or Kravitz E
I read somewhere that Varsha did a one year extension with Speed just before NBC got F1. I wonder if that means he'll be moving over in 2014 and Diffey will do just Indycar?
I actually don't mind the current comentators at SPEED. LOVE Buxton in the pits. That guy is full of energy. I think that the SPEED set was too casual. They need a desk or something. The NFL on Fox does a good job. Matchet is knowledgeable but sooooooo sloppy. Always slouched down in his chair with his eyeglasses all the way down his nose and unshaven. He could use some work. Hobbs is by far my favorite tho. I hope they keep him
I am done watching F1. That rutney, chutney assie accent is the most annoying voice in brodcast journalism. This guys shrill is like finger nails on a chalkboard. Is this the best NBC can find? Shouldn't we have at least one american broadcaster on an american broadcast of F1?
Flipping Suzi Perry at BBC? She will make even Murray Walker look smart, competent and young! http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/formula-1/10713-suzi-perry-named-bbc-f1-anchor.php#.UOV6m3wgGSM
I Guess Nigel Roebuck would be very hard to beat, he probably knows nore about f.1 tna anybody else....as for british drivers i think they are a litle bit biased agisnt Ferrari...and DC is total crap.....it would be fun to have someone like keke ,arnoux or Alesi, real drivers for a change!!!
Does this mean that I can finally drop "Speed" (i.e. The Bashcar Channel) from my dish?! Will this be mainly on NBC Sports /Versus? and 4 races on national NBC? I love hearing Macchet's perspective as a mechanic and Hobb's as a legendary driver, although I wish David ("Boy o' boy, he has a very large set of attachments!") Hobbs was more analytical regarding individual driver's techniques, teammate comparisons, etc. Leigh with his hyperbole can make even Hungaroring sound exciting.....
