In my 2013, I have noted intermittent loud noises from what I am told are the fuel pumps. Much noisier than on my 2011. Anyone else hear what I am hearing?

That is weird, we were out yesterday enjoying the clear Surrey sun and we also had some horrible intermittent noises that seemed only to be apparent when the car slowed as the brakes were being applied. That being said, we did have the same noise once, although brief as we pulled away.

It sounds like stuck hydraulics grating, maybe on the braking system, it seemed to be on the front near side (RHD car). Maybe the aste noise?

    Any ideas welcome too!

Booking it in tomorrow at Maranello.

There is a known issue, happens on my UK car as well, but the sound is from the rear right wheel area, so it might be a different problem

I'm told the noise from the rear is the handbrake cable that makes the noise hitting something

I asked grey Paul Nottingham to fix it and they didn't on the last service

The hand brake issue also happens on mine and no, they cannot fix it either. This is a major grinding noise.

"Hydraulics/grating" sounds a lot like an early problem I had (that was resolved) with my now departed 2010. Very loud noise in auto mode, at very low speed, usually while slowing further? I'd be surprised to still find it in a 2012/13, but it is a well known issue.

Oh man, both the tranny and differential use hydraulics, so it has to be either one. Although it's better to wait until problem can be duplicated before wasting time at a dealership, in this case I'd get the car checked for fluid level right away. If they send you on your way, at least it'd be documented. That's the great advantage of having a local dealer. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Thanks for posting this. I drive 95% of the time in manual, so has not happened to me in auto.

It's being collected tomorrow for this problem, it's 3rd year service (10500 miles) and the MOT.

I'll keep you posted of any findings..

    Cheers,
    Ray

Got the car back after the 3rd year service. The dealer kept it for a couple of weeks testing daily for this noise, guess what? nothing, not a peep. So frustrating.

I decided to I take it out today for a run and then into London for a stop/start drive, again nothing, behaved itself as if new.

Looks like its one of those issues that will finally reveal itself fully in time. Meanwhile im just going to drive it and enjoy the grin factor.......
