Well I posted last night about my issues with my car and the slow down issues so even though after disconnecting the battery and letting the car recalibrate it seems to be running fine right now I feel that I may have a cat going bad so since I live in an area that does not sniff and I have a 2.7 car simply removing the cats would be my best solution. I know there have been several posts about the subject but what and who provides the best bypass pipes and what do I do with the electrics to prevent getting a slow down light?

Before you condem your cats .......you have to check them out.
    Are they factory ceramic cats?

To test them, take a rubber mallet and tap (not bang) the body of the cats.....if the ceramic matrix has failed it will break up into powder and chunks.......when you tap the cats you should hear a rattling....like marbles.
If you hear this noise your cat is shot and needs to be replaced.
If you hear no noises then you will have to remove the cats for a physical inspection.
Look in from each side......if they have failed.....you will see a mess of powder and matrix product.
If they look like a honeycomb then they are ok.

If you decide to replace your cats you should consider metallic cats.....they don't fail like the factory cats and will increase your hp to boot.
They are half the price of factory cats as well.

    Try Ricambi, who sell hyper-flow

When my cats failed I replaced them with hyper-flow .

Make sure your engine is running correctly and not causing the cat to fail premature before just ripping them out.

    +1

My cat failed due to excess fuel dumping,

Which was caused by 2 intermittent spark plug wires

Great info, thanks everyone. The car seems to be runnign great although at times when I first start the car after sitting for a week or so it does smell like its running kind of rich. That quickly ceases as the car warms. I have had the car for 2 years and this is the first issue of any kind I have had.
