Very cool. I like the flags for the respective home countries. The Morgan is a beautiful car.
Always on the lookout for the next car . . . next ride will likely be something for track only. Wouldn't mind a silver Enzo but they have gotten pretty pricey! Lee
My CGT has been pretty bullet proof . . . but even basic maintenance is expensive due to the cost of parts and the labor required. The biggest issue on the car is the carbon ceramic clutch . . . due to its unique nature, some owners have struggled with its proper use. If you get it wrong on the clutch, you can be looking at a $18K repair bill! However, there is no better sounding street engine at 8000 rpm with the tops off. Lee
That doesn't look like a loose gravel driveway to me, it looks like a pressed tar and stone driveway. My driveway is a tar and stone over a 3 inch asphalt base. I recently put in a similar driveway...One coat tar..one coat rock...second coat tar and top coat of rock.. A heavy roller pressed rock into tar substrate they tell me it can be snow plowed without damage..will soon find out. Nothing compares! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
msdesignltd, You have to make sure you have it swept after a few weeks. I hired a contractor with a broom street sweeper to come in and sweep off the excess stone. If not, there will be a TON of stone off the sides and at the end pf the driveway from plowing. If the contractor used the right combination of tar and TREATED / OILED stone, layed down extra stone, and properly rolled it, there shouldn't be any problem with sweeping it and then plowing in the winter.
There are some curves in driveway..car tires do push rocks to form a berm...I leaf rake spots every month to put them back in shape.. had it now for 6 months..its like outdoor carpeting..love it
Just finished laying down my new RaceDeck! Any suggestions on cabinets? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Garage door is 18' wide and interior useable width inside the garage from wall to cabinets is about 20' 6" at the narrowest point. Hope this helps. Lee
there are some really amazing garages that have been shown in this thread, and as an architect, I am really envious of a lot of the ones shown here. At the risk of being too pedestrian, here are pics of the garage I built 14 years ago in Arlington, VA. It is at the back of the property, and the main house is a 1928 bungalow clad in the same gray and teal cedar shingles and white trim as the garage. This is a working garage, divided in two halves for "clean shop" and "dirty shop" functions. It is insulated/heated/cooled, has a stand-up compressor w/ air lines and 5 drops, a four-post lift, built-in engine hoist beam, media blasting cabinet, 22' long steel bench top and other goodies. I have restored a 1960 MGA, 1968 Ferrari 365GT2+2 in here, and currently have a 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale in a million pieces (the car pictured). Your garage looks great!! I just installed Saber cabinets. High quality cabinets, glides and hardware for a fairly reasonable price....unlike most quotes I received. Another FChatter recommended them in another thread. Sorry I don't have pictures, but they look nice. There was assembly required for the wall cabinets. Pretty simple job. The base drawer cabinets came pre-assembled. Their website has pricing. I chose the Red Sabers. www.sabercabinets.com 775-851-9838 - Dean Hanna was the salesman [email protected] no affiliation, etc
nice cabinets. any suggestion for tire/wheel racks? don't want wall mounted, prefer something on ground with casters.
