Hello Can anyone help me with a straight answer please ?? I want to put Scuderia wheels on my 2005 F430 but the dealer is telling me I need Titanium lug nuts . Is this true??? Thanks for any help here
I've no personal experience but here's a couple of threads which appear to support the assertion by your dealer...... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=325190&highlight=titanium+scuderia+wheel http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=328930&highlight=titanium+scuderia+wheel ...... and then a comment here from our respected Daniel at Ricambi that it is possible to use the standard bolts (albeit not necessarily desirable)..... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281512&highlight=titanium+scuderia+wheel Go Figure! Edit! Oh! And welcome to F Chat - Your Maiden Post! :')
Dd it on my old 07. You don't need the titanium lugs, however they are recommended for some reason. I ran the factory chrome lugs for over 2 years at seriously excessive speeds without a single issue.
There are two types of Scuderia wheels, one designed for the F430 with 7.5" front wheels and one OEM on the Scud/16M with 8.0" front wheels. Either is a bolt on for the 360 or F430. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wanted to get a set of Scuderia rims for my F430. I was told I needed to buy the Scuderia style rims vs factory Scuderia rims. I put them on my F430 about 4 months ago. No need for the titanium bolts. The factory Scuderia rims will not fit with the 430 braking system. The Ferrari website makes reference to this as well. My car did not have TPS, but this can be an issue as well. They gave my car a great look! Grigio Silverstone with Black powder coated Scuderia Style Rims. Good luck!
