How many 'flashes' of the light does it take until your pump is ready when you turn the key on?

Can't remember how many flashes there were, but it was basically instantaneous. One-two seconds tops.

    9 when cold.

However, I think my line from the pump to the solenoid pack is pretty restrictive. I have a larger one I intend to install later this winter.

That's my concern. I just had mine done, and after reading all of these stories about having it prime instantly, or in 1 sec, mine still blinks 6 or 7 times (and for as many seconds) before I can start it. Lame.

Check your battery condition. When charged, mine primes in less than 5 seconds.

+1. Shouldn't take more than a few seconds at best.

Ok, so my car has been sitting most of the week with the battery tender on it. Leaving it sit for any time has traditionally been the perfect recipe for getting many flashes of the pump light. Jumped in tonight and Boom! One flash, ready to go.

Seems it is indeed a battery charge issue.

    Thanks for everyone's input.
