    Michael, fantastic display.

Do you have any close up pics of how the shelves are supported on the plexi pieces?

This is a continuation of post 597. My wire wheel production got slowed down due to a brain wave about making the rims, a difficult and time consuming process. Usually I turn the rims and make a drilling jig and drill them by hand but its not accurate and takes lots of time. I thought it might be easier to have the rims 3d printed with the holes for the monofilament line "printed", also. I posted the question on the Shapeways forum and found that holes could be printed. I used SketchUp to make the computer file of the rim, converted it to an stl file and sent it to Shapeways to print. In a week and a half the rims came in and I found the holes did not print. However, I made countersinks on the outside of the rim for easier stringing and was able to drill out the spoke holes with a .014" bit. First pic shows that. Second pic the rim in the jig, and last pic, the wheel and tire. Drilling the rim doesn't take much time so having the rims printed at about $30, including shipping, is a great time saver and is much more accurate.

I Finally got back to my Air Trax Lusso kit. Progress so far has been quite good, interior is finished, body painted and polished. Chassis is adopted from Fujimi 250GTO, with some modifications to adapt R&M co. of Maryland SWB engine. I used Hobby Design wheels and Fujimi Daytona tires. Still a lot of work to do...

Looks very nice. I like the color alot. Your kit captures the look of the Lusso very well. Can't wait for the Superfast kit.

By the way, I hope you made copies of that rare 308 kit you sold on ebay!! I would love to see an NART Lemans 1974 version from you someday:)

Thanks Tom. I'll continue the Superfast after i've finished the Lusso. Body and PE are done, but the annoying interior and chassis stuff is unstarted still.

308 GT/LM is on a "to do" list, as is 100 other ideas..

Been a long time, last time I visited was in 1989. However, I always visit Amelia Island Concours and see some great cars there. Many Millers this past March.
